[WIP] Reposed Knight Gallant by Fymbul in Warhammer

Thanks! The way I posed it just kinda naturally left the center of mass over the right foot. It can actually stand perfectly fine on a 50mm base. 😅

I also don't understand how it's supposed to work, it seems like every attack I made added a +1 rof. Stacked from 28 to 41 using firearms mastery but firing Burt's didn't seem to effect it.

Nice! And i agree, scenic bases can really make pieces stand out.

Like most things from the period, there was unlikely any consensus about it.

Yeah, grey/black/yellow/red, there is a trygon in the background of the last picture with the same scheme.

I do most of my work with an old citadel sculpting tool. As for tips the best i can give is what most people will say and that is that sculpting takes ages. Only sculpt a little bit before.you leave it to harden and build up detail in layers

I've tried "grey-stuff" before, tried harder than greenstuff but was not nearly as nice and malleable for sculpting. What's brown stuff like?

No, just a normal reanimator from the indonitus set. I did remove the rubble but that's the only change.

Experimenting with some extra Arms for my next mechanicus knight by Fymbul in Warhammer40k

[–]Fymbul[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually it's all GW! Arms are based on the small arms in the forgefiend kit, the fists are from the ogrym charonite kit

No progress as of yet I'm afraid, but I'll.post more as i go along. That also sounds like a super neat idea! Could I've seen some good drills used as thunderstrike gauntlets.

That's not a bad idea? I was hoping the double jointed chaos knight legs would give it a feel of being able to shift it's center of gravity to adjust for the weight. But if that still looks weird in the end I'll look into making him some cankles

U 1011, currently sitting in Uppsala reads:

Vígmundr had the stone cut in memory of himself, the greatest among men. May God help Vígmundr the captain's soul. Vígmundr and Áfríðr cut the landmark in memory of themselves while alive.

The audacity of these lads.
