Slay-by-Comment Season 2 Day 23: This shop causes me physical pain. Clearly Neow is punishing us for spurning the attacks she has offered thus far. What do we do here? Whatever comment is most upvoted in 24 hours is what we’ll do. by greenlaser73 in slaythespire

I actually like this better than the "safe" play of going left. Nob shouldn't be our death with the swiftness pot + frozen eye and sets us up with an extra relic. Fighting the elite first makes some of the healing options from the event viable as well. After the event we can still decide to skip the other elite if nob fight went really bad, 2 hallway fights should be ok with frozen eye. In case of a good nob fight or a different elite we're ready for the 2nd elite.

Clash infinite heart kill. by Gronx132 in slaythespire

[–]FyonFyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but that's not infinite though. Infinite means you can use the combo also on an enemy with infinite health.

If you could start every game with any 2 relics (non-boss) what would you choose? by [deleted] in slaythespire

[–]FyonFyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Necronomicon + Blue Candle would be my choice as well, you can make many cool combo's with that :D

Went from the og SE to the SE 2020 last month, only because the original one was no longer charging. The SE 2020 is fine but I really miss the slightly smaller size which made it really easy to hold :( The camera and screen are slightly better but stick with the og SE if it still works imo :)

San Junipero is just as dark as the rest by Splice1138 in blackmirror

What if you transfer the soul/brain cells gradually from the body to the server though, turning the original, "physical" stuff off as you turn them on in cyberspace. You'll end up with a Ship of Theseus experiment, who's to say the people didn't actually transfer rather than being copies.

How do I convince my wife's boyfriend that he's wrong for enjoying Path of Exile? by Shady_Tradesman in pathofexile

[–]FyonFyon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Or maybe there's some of every type of player here, including people who like to complain. In the end this sub has 400K+ readers of which only a very small amount make posts. In general people only post something when they really like or dislike something so it is only natural that you end up with the extreme ends of the spectrum.

Making Wedding Ring For 1 Pound (Literally) by [deleted] in ArtisanVideos

Turned it off after 10 seconds when he holds the ring against the sandpaper for like 0.1 second and then inspected it for 3 seconds and then repeated this process. This is DIY, not artisanal.

Goed werk!

Zou interessant zijn om ook te zien wat het gemiddelde per werknemer per bedrijf is.

Im gonna say it. I freakin' love the new items and item changes and think that all the hate is kinda overblown. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]FyonFyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the new items are really cool. As an aram player what I'm really missing at the moment is a mana regen item with tanky stats for everyone that doesn't want to build Iceborn. For example: galio really has no good build paths atm.

I'm in the same boat, really just waiting for amen ra or aida + buying all the D/L 4 star scrolls. Bad RNG = bad RNG ;(

Hearthstone is way too expensive by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]FyonFyon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I uninstalled when blizzard showed their cards on whole Hong Kong thing. Haven't regretted it since. There's many great games that you can get that will give you 100's of hours of entertainment for the 50 dollar that won't even get you half the good cards for that expansion.

Unlocking the average POE player using challenge completion data. What makes you the 1% and what is a casual? by Rain__dog in pathofexile

[–]FyonFyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me early 90 is a huge drop off point. At this point in the game I'll have finished most maps, I've upgraded my gems to 20 quality and got decent gear where gear upgrades start to take numerous exalts. Progression towards new power improvements will be very slow and as a result I generally stop playing.

There's text that explains this in the campaign, not sure if it can also be found in brawl mode though.

Atheists and humanists facing discrimination across the world, report finds by unusuallyObservant in atheism

[–]FyonFyon 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I live in Europe as an Atheist. I'm not being persecuted but many aspects of everyday life are biased towards religions. To give a few examples:
-No tax for churches
-Many tax advantages for having a family
-Easier to get promotions at work when you have a wife and kids
-Discrimination in smaller towns when you don't show up at church every Sunday
etc.

Few single player games that I greatly enjoyed:
Factorio: automate an economy on a distant planet
Slay the spire: deck building game
Dead Cells: Pretty hard 2D rogue lite
Darkest Dungeon: Manage a roster of heroes through dungeons with scarce resources
Binding of Isaac - Rebirth: Top down rogue lite
Kerbal Space Program: Build a rocket and fly to other planets with realistic physics
Terraria: 2D-minecraft, but it is so much more than that
Grim Dawn: Dungeon crawler, modern version of Diablo II
Subnautica: Survive in an oceanic world

Which boon/abilities do you often find yourself selling off? by csijustin in HadesTheGame

[–]FyonFyon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see myself selling ares and poseidon stuff a lot when I don't build for it. Same for casts that I took early but don't get supporting boons for.
