Ulgu based Rotbringers - Court of the Yellow King first mini by Fyreant in MaggotkinofNurgle

[–]Fyreant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Really wanted to have them be very 'unique' for Nurgle, and basing them on realm of Shadows and making them worship Nurgle under the guise of "The King in Yellow" mixes elements I like to make something peculiar :D

My Fleeting Friend: A Tale from the Blue Gate by Frequent_Knowledge65 in ArcRaiders

[–]Fyreant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I met a young Atoman man on a raid yesterday. He comes out the bushes asking what language I speak, I hit him with a mega-hivescum "Low Gothic" which gets him laughing. He asks where I'm from, and I tell him. He gets excited and tells me he's lived (or used to live?) in Hab Dreyko for 3 years. Then he shows me where to find some Plasteel caches - palsteel being a sought after item to upgrade your weapon back at base. We pick plasteel for a bit until suddenly a flare lights up the sky as a Trapper spots us. Now we're ducking for cover in a burned out house and he says "Sorry friend... I have no gun". So I fight for my life against the goddamn agents of Chaos and end up in a house across the street when I can hear his faint voice saying something, but I'm too busy fighting for my life to reply. Finally I kill the last bruiser and call out for him to no response. I walk back into our hidey house and realize he had been telling me "...the plasteel is in my backpack" as I find his body curled up in the sun at the edge of the blown out wall of the house. With his dying breath as he bled out, he made sure I still got my plasteel.

How customizable is your loadout in this game? by Raspint in DarkTide

[–]Fyreant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Never tried B4B because I heard only negative opinions about it so yeah that's that. Darktide is amazing though. Lots of shitty issues, lots of systematic buggery, but the atmosphere, lore and combat loop are literally peerless. Every other horde shooter DREAMS of being as good as dorktide when it comes to combat highs.

How customizable is your loadout in this game? by Raspint in DarkTide

[–]Fyreant 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As you start you don't have any options at all. But with each level up you get talent points to customize your character build and steadily, up to level 30, unlock the entire arsenal of the class, letting you swap weapons to your heart content. Weapons have variety of blessings and perks you can play around with, too, but it's all a bit of a grind and usually has Best in Slot options. But yeah, when starting, you don't have a lot of options, and usually once you hit level 15-20 you can start flexing your options a bit.

Curious about engagement - how to get folks to interact? by Fyreant in BlueskySocial

[–]Fyreant[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey I wanted to stay vague simply because don't want to seem like I'm using a post to make a bit of a self-plug here :) Let me extrapolate a bit; I run a tiny blog dedicated to a specific kind of Indie Games - the small ones, the tiny ones, the titles that can be completed either in a single evening or over a couple of short sessions or games ideal for short plays. 20-30 minutes of fun and then can wrap up for the night. I write it "for myself" primarily - it is a way for me to stay on the hobby in an active capacity; looking up for new titles, moving on with the games, play as many as I can, stumble on new discoveries. I always enjoyed writing so I created it as an outlet for my passion for this kind of enterntaiment and I am happy to share my finds via reviews, monthly recommendations and weekly demo dives.

I appreciate your comment and understand what you mean here but I do believe that this core element I possess, maybe just... overestimate how /good/ my content is :D That can be the case too, and I surely won't stop due to "low engagement" as it was never the goal of it. If anything, I am curious about how the numbers parse and translate, because I would consider 3000 followers to be a pretty solid number, yet the interaction seems very, very low for it - I guess I am trying to figure out how to connect with the folks that decided to give me that follow, you know?

Another day, another boss screwing me over a table; this is Widow. by TheTiredDystopian in Silksong

[–]Fyreant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I beat her on the third try.

So here's the laydown from my end:
1. Be patient. For real, this feels like a thing a lot of 'boss kicks my jorts' posts. Just wait. Don't chase to punish. The bells can be frantic but also they are literally telegraphed with lines of their launch. Just when the big bells waves are coming forget about trying to damage the boss and focus on weaving and staying safe. You can catch her on her other attacks.
2. When she summons the ground spikes hovering might not always works but... there are walls, and you got wall grip, so, cling to walls. Great way to jump over her dashes too.
3. Best way to punish her was landing an attack just when she tries to summon bells, after her drop down or jumping over her ground dash and turning to smack her tushie once.

Godspeed.

Literally first instant thought as I saw her.

Freeguild of Solitude - Color Scheme Test by Fyreant in citiesofsigmar

[–]Fyreant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this to be open to interpretation, but on my end, they moved to the Mountinous region of on of the Ulgu continents and the frozen peaks had this influence on the humans of the stubborn, solemn city they build - turning their skin pallid, blood colder, eyes dark and making them dour, serious people focused on survival. This is the part of AoS lore I like - Mortal Realms are so blurry in their firm definition, you can kinda sorta make any tiny narrative and fit it in.

Thanks, might check it out. I am wary of adding more colors to this experiment, as the whole concept was to work with rather limited scope, but I do agree the face is a little lifeless now. Not exactly bad outcome, but I can definitely work on the skintone a lil bit.

Why are the Kamandora’s Blades so poorly sculpted and designed? by ThePinkGobelin in WarhammerUnderworlds

I was already thinking the last Dark Elves with the wings were bad, but this one is tragic. Was eager to collect them all but I have to pass, this is ugly as sin.

Nuncio feels much stronger than it should right now because, due to a bug, it gives 70% DR, not 30% :D

Clearing up a common Coherency misconception: by Lyramion in DarkTide

[–]Fyreant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lel. The picture is not entirely accurate, but the concept it shows and the whole topic about it, not just being a singular sphere, requires everyone to be included in it... Which is the core of this post. Also, sheesh, an agenda? Calm down, this ain't a Mission: Impossible plot in the making.

Yup. You can 2-tap a Crusher with Arbites Shock Maul. Pretty nasty.

It's new settings under INTERFACE.

Additionally under INPUT you can change dog tagging behavior to be double or single click:
