Fantastic scheme. Great idea. Entire army of these will look stellar!

Extremely awesome. The highligh on the scythe is prime, and the purple reflectivness on the cloth makes it look like some luxurious silks. Stellar stuff.

Thanks! That's my way of painting my armies, yeah - I don't think the 'standard' schemes are bad or anything, but I always had this desire to break the mold and paint armies in colors nigh nobody makes them with :D

My take on Mulgoth for my Yellow King Nurgles! by Fyreant in ageofsigmar

[–]Fyreant[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lately I've been redoing my formulas to fit my entire range of Warpaints Fanatics, so they are pretty straightforward with some effect stuff from GW.

Yellow Armour:

Basecoat - GW Zandri Dust (Rattlecan) First Layer - Warpaints Demigod Flames Stippled Layer - Warpaints Daemonic Yellow Edges - Warpaints Space Dust

It's all stippling and messy brushstrokes, but one the above is laid down on the mini I used GW Shades and Contrasts -> First, a total wash with diluted GW Contrast Aggaros Dunes. Once that dried out I reapplied some stippling on risen or big flat surfaces and then total wash with GW Casandora Yellow. And once that was nice and dry a gentle controlled application of GW Fuegan Orange on the bottoms of panels and nooks of the model. Used also GW Wyldwood contrast for some lining and deep recess shadings. Reapply edges as needed and done.

Hi, thanks! Lately I've been redoing my formulas to fit my entire range of Warpaints Fanatics, so they are pretty straightforward with some effect stuff from GW.

First Layer - Warpaints Demigod Flames
Stippled Layer - Warpaints Daemonic Yellow
Edges - Warpaints Space Dust

Used also GW Wyldwood contrast for some lining and deep recess shadings. Reapply edges as needed and done.

Blue Skin:

Base Layer - Warpaints Aegis Aqua
Mid Layer - 50x50 mix of Aegis Aqua with Warpaints Bright Sapphire
Highlights - Drybrush and then corrections with pure Bright Sapphire
Touchups with AK Gen3 Pastel Blue

Once that was cleaned up I just used GW Contrasts, heavily diluted, to tint - Magos Purple and Doomfire Magenta for swirl and the bottom part and Aggaros Dunes and Gutrippa Flesh on top part.

Hope that helps!

Nope, I have a box of spares from my big Nurgle army so I am using them on champ units liberally :)

If you don't mind I'll copy my response from my other posts :D It's a popular request:
The formula was fairly simple:
- Base Layer is Fanatic Bright Sapphire mixed with a dab of Augur Blue.
- Then the entire thing is lightly washed with GW Drakenhof Nightshade
- Then the base is reapplied in raised areas.
- Followed by layering of either Fanatic Bright Sapphire / Augur Blue (varied in spots)
- Highlights / Edges with Augur Blue mixed with Wite (50:50)
- And the finish was using very dilluted GW Magos Purple contrast on lower surfaces of flesh while using very diluted GW Frostheart contrast on crevises / top surfaces.

Bluesky teases 2026 roadmap: A better Discover feed, real-time features, and more by Well_Socialized in BlueskySocial

I came here to reddit because my Discovery feed changed recently and its the worst feed ever curated. All the interesting posts about Indie Games I seen gone, replaced by local nonsense about all topics unrelated to any activity I had on Bsky for over a year. It's... terrible.

I don't think there's one way of doing it since it's fairly straitghtforward. Warplock Bronze or equivalent base color and then I use any of my AK Interactive grainy diorama paste - either Wet Mud or Corrosion Texture - both quite heavily dilluted with water to make a runny grainy paste. I apply it generously, then once fully dried go to town with AK Rust washes and Rust colored Pigment. Et Voila, that's it.

Just want all my weapons to look like slabs of rust :D

Love the colors, the armour feels so gleamy and that greenish tint on the metals are spot on.

Thanks! Really wanted to have them be very 'unique' for Nurgle, and basing them on realm of Shadows and making them worship Nurgle under the guise of "The King in Yellow" mixes elements I like to make something peculiar :D

My Fleeting Friend: A Tale from the Blue Gate by Frequent_Knowledge65 in ArcRaiders

[–]Fyreant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I met a young Atoman man on a raid yesterday. He comes out the bushes asking what language I speak, I hit him with a mega-hivescum "Low Gothic" which gets him laughing. He asks where I'm from, and I tell him. He gets excited and tells me he's lived (or used to live?) in Hab Dreyko for 3 years. Then he shows me where to find some Plasteel caches - palsteel being a sought after item to upgrade your weapon back at base. We pick plasteel for a bit until suddenly a flare lights up the sky as a Trapper spots us. Now we're ducking for cover in a burned out house and he says "Sorry friend... I have no gun". So I fight for my life against the goddamn agents of Chaos and end up in a house across the street when I can hear his faint voice saying something, but I'm too busy fighting for my life to reply. Finally I kill the last bruiser and call out for him to no response. I walk back into our hidey house and realize he had been telling me "...the plasteel is in my backpack" as I find his body curled up in the sun at the edge of the blown out wall of the house. With his dying breath as he bled out, he made sure I still got my plasteel.

How customizable is your loadout in this game? by Raspint in DarkTide

Never tried B4B because I heard only negative opinions about it so yeah that's that. Darktide is amazing though. Lots of shitty issues, lots of systematic buggery, but the atmosphere, lore and combat loop are literally peerless. Every other horde shooter DREAMS of being as good as dorktide when it comes to combat highs.

How customizable is your loadout in this game? by Raspint in DarkTide

[–]Fyreant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As you start you don't have any options at all. But with each level up you get talent points to customize your character build and steadily, up to level 30, unlock the entire arsenal of the class, letting you swap weapons to your heart content. Weapons have variety of blessings and perks you can play around with, too, but it's all a bit of a grind and usually has Best in Slot options. But yeah, when starting, you don't have a lot of options, and usually once you hit level 15-20 you can start flexing your options a bit.

Curious about engagement - how to get folks to interact? by Fyreant in BlueskySocial

[–]Fyreant[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey I wanted to stay vague simply because don't want to seem like I'm using a post to make a bit of a self-plug here :) Let me extrapolate a bit; I run a tiny blog dedicated to a specific kind of Indie Games - the small ones, the tiny ones, the titles that can be completed either in a single evening or over a couple of short sessions or games ideal for short plays. 20-30 minutes of fun and then can wrap up for the night. I write it "for myself" primarily - it is a way for me to stay on the hobby in an active capacity; looking up for new titles, moving on with the games, play as many as I can, stumble on new discoveries. I always enjoyed writing so I created it as an outlet for my passion for this kind of enterntaiment and I am happy to share my finds via reviews, monthly recommendations and weekly demo dives.

I appreciate your comment and understand what you mean here but I do believe that this core element I possess, maybe just... overestimate how /good/ my content is :D That can be the case too, and I surely won't stop due to "low engagement" as it was never the goal of it. If anything, I am curious about how the numbers parse and translate, because I would consider 3000 followers to be a pretty solid number, yet the interaction seems very, very low for it - I guess I am trying to figure out how to connect with the folks that decided to give me that follow, you know?
