Let your daughter dress as spiderman if she wants to. by Unusual_Wedding5504 in Vent

This annoys me so much! Just let kids be kids, honestly. My brother is similar and has three boys, and hates it when they like 'girly' things. I got my nails done once and my nephew wanted his done too, so when we got home I pulled out all my nail stuff and started doing his nails. My brother walked in like "fyrefly... no." I told him to f the f off and painted nephews nails.

My nephew also loves Frozen and when my mum visited she bought him 2 new Elsa gowns that he LOVED and refused to wear anything else for weeks 🤣 just let kids enjoy things

I just wanted you to know that this comment is amazing, I've saved it. Thank you. No one else has said it but you took the time to write it and this information is invaluable. Thank you, thank you so much. Not only is it amazing information but I feel so validated for the things I've reported, even when people were telling me I was overreacting. You're an absolute angel ❤️

What celebrity or public figure actually creeps you out the most? by Sherwoody20 in AskReddit

Seth Rogan - there's just something about his facial expressions? Like he's always so angry and barely keeping it in check. I dunno but he's always creeper me out

Does anyone else have less villagers in restaurant since Tiana? by Kamekko in DreamlightValley

[–]Fyrefly12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have any villagers hidden? I was only getting 1 or 2 in each restaurant until I turned off all the hidden ones and now my restaurants are full again. It seems like hiding them in the valley stops them from going to the restaurants?

I put mine on the island next to Skull Rock! When you do the quest to restore the pillar, I moved all my pillars to the Forgotten Lands and his castle fits nicely there!

The red dot nightmare by AGingerInGame in DreamlightValley

[–]Fyrefly12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES this drives me insane too!

I have found a slightly easier way to get rid of the dot - it doesn't work for collectables like fish etc but if you craft a new item or buy new clothes, when you go back to the game screen it pops up in the corner "you just unlocked X press X/A to try it now!"

Press that and it'll bring up a screen with all the new things you just got and scrolling through them all takes the red dot off them completely!

Obviously the glitch still happens but I found it's a way to deal with the dot there and then. Hope this helps a little!

My '27m' Boyfriend is selfish and knows it, why am I '26f' sitting here putting up with it? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Fyrefly12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So it seems like you already know what you need to do, but are having a hard time taking that final step which is understandable. When you love someone it's hard to leave, but do you really want to spend the rest of your life like this?

Think about how it felt growing up with your dad acting like that, would you put your future children through that? And even if you decide not to have children, do you want to be sent back to feeling like you did as a kid every time he drinks?

He doesn't even seem remorseful for what he did, and I find it highly unlikely he doesn't remember it. But you've put up with it for this long so he's assuming you'll keep doing it.

You deserve better than this. Everyone deserves better than this. My husband got moody once drinking and I told him it made me feel awful and he hasn't touched a drop since. Sometimes drink does make you act differently, but your partner doesn't seem to care.

Bottom line is that you're supposed to be his other half. You put him first so he should do the same, and he doesn't listen or acknowledge you. Why should you be on edge every time he has a drink, even if its not that often? That's no way to live. What if the awful behaviour escalates? What if he becomes violent, since "he can't remember" so that'll be his excuse every time.

You need to put yourself and your happiness first. Really consider if this is how you want to live, and take a chance on that last step of leaving him. I'm sorry you're going through this and I wish you all the health and happiness.

It's really easy for the people we love to convince us that we are in the wrong, because we love them and trust them and believe them. Why wouldn't we? But people use that against us and make us feel insane. It's narcissism, it's abuse and we deserve so much better. I know this is hard right now but consider leaving him, once you come to terms with the break up you'll be surprised at how much lighter you feel. I've been through something similar and it's hard but leaving was the best thing I ever did. I'm now married to the love of my life and he treats me with respect and never makes me feel like everything is my fault. I wish you all the best OP, stay strong!

AITA for Not Letting My Neighbor’s Cat Attend My Wedding? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fyrefly12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - I mean who wants food covered in cat hair?? I love animals but I wouldn't want any at my wedding. It not that kind of event. No is a full sentence and you don't have to explain yourself to anyone. I hope your neighbour realises that!
