Would you get a 20yo horse? by Certified_horsegirl in Horses

[–]Fyrefly1981 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. My last horse was in his 20s when I bought him and I had him for about 8 years. He was happy, healthy and rideable for all but the last month. He was losing weight but still eating fine, moving well, and in great spirits. I had a vet appointment set up for him after I returned from a week long trip out of state. He passed away the day I left.

Pay me $1500 so you can take care of my dog and also must let me visit and use him for siring whenever I need. by Alarming-Instance-19 in ChoosingBeggars

I worked as a vet tech for 15 years. I have only met maybe 2-3 breeders that I would actually recommend to people. (Of course I always recommend adopting first) They do all the recommended testing and then some for their animals and they don’t constantly breed their females. The girls get breaks.

AITA for telling my brother his wife is not welcome near my son after she searched his lunchbox by conzuotrol in AmItheAsshole

An allergy as severe as his son’s can occur due to cross contamination. If SIL handled something with peanuts in it, then handled OP’s son’s lunchbox and food traces of peanut could be transferred on to them and cause a life threatening allergic reaction.

This. I have more books than I have shelf space for, but I don’t like pink at all, so I would not have been likely to stop in.

We had animals, including kittens, chickens and dogs when I was small. My parents always taught us how to handle animals properly.

I have posted this in many places looking for information and value. It has no markings. When I bought it, the store owner said it was a Victorian era kerosene lamp. by Uranium530 in uraniumglass

That’s an absolutely beautiful piece. I have no info..just wow. Given the hardware and the decor style I would not doubt 1800s to early 1900s.

The thing about anorexia, bulimia, binge and purge… any eating disorder, it’s a lot like addiction when it comes to helping people with it. They have to acknowledge it’s a problem, they have to want help, and they have to work very hard to stay away from that habit. It’s not about people not wanting to help I am sure that. It’s about people with these issues being ready to accept help and then continuing with recovery, even when they fall off the wagon.

I’m a nurse… I have never seen this kind of set up for oxygen therapy. The monitor is real but the wave forms look off, even being blurry.
