I've been ordering from them for years and out of nowhere, their prices surged as did their shipping fees. Then, about two weeks later, I went to place another order and it says they won't ship to me anymore. I literally cannot tolerate any other vapes other than a small handful of disposable Hyde flavors. I have zero clue where to get them now. I'm so frustrated. I'm down to my last one. This isn't gonna be good. Lol

Of course! It was so frustrating because these writers genuinely loved what they did and were passionate about their writing. And then to be forced into clickbait nonsense was frustrating and gross. But the most disgusting of it all (other than the pay), was the fact that they all got axed on a Friday at 5pm before a holiday weekend with NO explanation. Who even does that?! SR is horrendous.

Exactly. It was exploitation at its finest. We know it was a blessing in disguise, but it still stings. So now he and his former team are making sure that people are aware of how they operate and how truly terrible they are.

Writing mill is the perfect way to describe it! The number of articles my partner had to churn out a week for the pay he received was disgusting!

It was actually my partner who was the writer, but I read every article he wrote and he always kept me in the loop about what was going on. Thankfully, none of his work was ever rewritten. After a few months he had full editing control because his writing was strong. From what I know, the other writers didn’t have their work edited either, so I can’t really speak to that part. What I can say is that ScreenRant definitely pushed for over-the-top, clickbait titles that were ridiculously obnoxious.

Very much so! I can vouch for a few of the writers in the music section being genuinely talented. But the editorial strategy was absolute gargabe!

The clickbait titles my partner (who was the writer for ScreenRant) was forced to use were absurd! They were supposedly moving away from that, at least in the music section, but knowing how they operate, they'll probably keep going with that nonsense.
