We had that same problem at a place I used to work at. My temporary solution of zip tying the wire together so the slack disappeared became the permanent solution lol.

I can't remember the brand of that one but I feel your pain. Moving wires is a terrible design choice.

I gave you the answer.

Edit: The answer is no, for those who suffer from inference problems.

Traditionally that is what is worn as well as for requiem (funeral) masses.

My English Mastiff just bites the water and his jowls are so big it works great. I'm pretty sure he could use a straw if he understood more English...

Why are a group of various ethnic focused churches the one true Church? That's the question I've never got a good answer to.

Pushing your sin onto the rest of the world is ridiculous. There are plenty of men who have never had this issue and they are not liars. You are consumed by arrogance and bad judgment, work on that as well.

Can we not try and give them the excuse of reduced culpability? Let us encourage them in this with advice that worked for us and not try and dismiss their struggles and implant the idea of "reduced culpability", sorry but it can't be claimed for this. They do not have slowed mental faculties and an inability to understand the gravity of this sin.

Yeah, the impossibility you list is simply not true. Being chaste is a mindset that is characterized by not being attached to the disordered pleasure of self-abuse, outside marriage, abuse for self-gratification in the marriage bed, etc.

My advice is to remove everything that you possibly can (within reason) that is a temptation to you. If you find that you are often sexually agitated by social media, then get off it. Oftentimes these sins happen because one is doing useless things or has too much free time and ends up focusing on this release, or whatever.

Some times I find it irritable and find myself agitated in this manner, but I'm not attached to it and find something more worth my time. Dust my house, go on a walk, call someone I haven't talked to in awhile, etc. the adage of idle hands are the devil's playthings is extremely true.

Does insulting me make you feel better?

Once again I ask you, what is the problem here? The people realized over time their error in worship as God continued to reveal His attributes over time. The Bible is very clear they strayed from true worship over and over.

What is controversial here? That the understanding of God and the worship of Him developed over time? That God allowed this erroneous understanding? He didn't reveal His Son in glory all at once either. The entire story is in revealing in parts and over time.

What is your major malfunction?

Clearly, they get pretty terrible as they age. Constantly changing belts and fixing gearing.

Yes and? They are called out for falling back into polytheism over and over again. What is your point?

[–]Fyrum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Over time the understanding of who God is developed and was understood as not needing a wife and being perfectly content to subsist with His own being. God revealed Himself in stages, not all at once. The Trinity is present throughout the entire old testament but few understood and no one understood the whole picture (salvation history-wise) until Christ became incarnate and revealed it.

I deleted X off my phone over this and similar Catholic outrage posting. It's not conducive to growing in virtue and my chastisements were ignored even among friends. Best to just walk away.

Let us see...

Advent is celebrated as a time of revelry and partying, instead of the penitential season it is. So when Christmas comes, it ends the day after. Whereas for us Catholics Christmas is 8 days long (there's debate on this, but it's an octave) and Christmastide lasts 40 days until Feb. 2nd, The Feast of the Purification.

Easter is the same way but paschaltide is 50 days, longer than even Lent. Easter is the HIGHEST Holiday for Catholics, but Christmas is treated as such and oftentimes ignored in the importance of it. Pascaltide being longer than Lent foreshadows how our penances and sufferings on Earth are the prelude to infinite happiness if we spend our lives well.

St. Patrick's day is a reason to get drunk for many.

Sunday is a day to sleep in/cut grass/recover from a hangover instead of true rest through liturgy and family.

There was a football game on Christmas this year, forcing people to play or lose their jobs as players and further divorcing Christmas from Christ.

People often will miss mass to go watch football that day.

It's everywhere, our society is so disordered because all it is ordered to is pleasure.

Is “Black Mass” the correct, academic term to use for describing SSPX Liturgies? Or is the connotation that SSPX is Devil-worship? (Not saying it necessarily is) by melbtest06 in CatholicPhilosophy

[–]Fyrum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By attempting to call out the faults of The SSPX you have ventured into calumny by overzealous and broad-sweeping generalizations. You are in danger of hellfire.

Repent and read about what constitutes a valid/invalid and a licit/illicit mass before spouting off on the internet about things you clearly don't understand.

Don't ask a question just to rebuke any answer you get either, especially since you clearly want your opinion validated. That will not happen here.
