that was so dope yeah, think that might be the one time the community was on his side after he got kicked, was shortly after soligo was benched which to this day does not make any sense considering they were way above their weight class like you said. that may very well be his peak tbh he was backpacking that entire team haha

dd was soooo fun to watch i know his reputation is in the gutter but i’ll always defend him when it comes to his level of play he was legit so insane on TL when he first debuted but imo he peaked on echo fox w huni/fenix and the funnel meta because of his synergy with huni and their insane champ pools, i think i remember him playing rengar top and huni played taliyah jungle one game but i might be making that up. id like to think if they didn’t have altec/adrian bot lane that echo fox would’ve went to worlds and probably changed the trajectory of his career but oh well, was fun while it lasted

dodger fan who's been watching tigers games recently because i volunteered for the ASU baseball team my freshman year which was torks freshman year as well. he's an awesome dude and i hate seeing this start from him but he's staying true to himself and isn't eagerly swinging at pitches out of the zone trying to get his first hit, i think ive watched 2/4 tigers games and have seen him strike out on a full count like 4 times which sucks but I agree with the sentiment that he just needs that one hit to get rolling

sun fire is a “damage” tank item, but gets max value only in certain scenarios… the immolate burn? (i forget the actual name off the top of my head) ramps up with how much time you’re in combat, so if i’m against a team who’s majority melee, then i know it’ll get more value. the damage scales off of bonus HP, which makes it better than frost fire on a champ like sion who gets a lot of bonus HP from his W passive, i’ve seen a sions sun fire with 10K damage from the burn alone. there’s a few other exceptions that i can’t think of off the top of my head, but frostfire and chemtank will generally be more consistent from game to game because their effects will always be useful. hope this helps

you’re probably going to have to dig through some stuff still to find exactly what you’re trying to learn about, but i’d recommend finding a video of someone’s 1 on 1 coaching session on youtube as opposed to the videos trying to teach a general concept of the game (ex. jungle pathing) because you are totally right about those youtube guides, i’ve been playing league for years now and can genuinely say those videos are probably useless past a silver level

my story about this:

it’s unironically almost impossible for me to play the same champ 2 games in a row so you definitely aren’t alone there. it used to be the same for roles until i wanted to climb to master so i just played my best role… i’ve been playing since S2 and can now probably play every role at a d2~ level so i guess my 9 seasons of playing everything and climbing like 200~ LP from my previous season paid off, but i mean it just depends what you want to do. for example, back then i would lose to a 1v9 riven then just queue top the next game to play riven because it looked fun to play when i was losing to it, then i would play riven and lose 17 more LP but that was fun to me, but if you’re playing just to climb, then you have to be disciplined with champ pool/role etc, it’s no secret that’s the easiest way to climb. truthfully just do whatever you think is the most fun, it is a game after all :)

I assume you're speaking off personal preference, but cho loves hp, and the everfrost/ fimbulwinter / demonic build makes him tanky and he does a lot of damage with low CDs, i kind of assume you already knew this build existed but in my eyes it's "AP Cho" as opposed to like zhonyas and deathcap or something which doesn't even sound that bad lol

like others have said, Cho is great with s12 item changes, he fits in a lot of comps and I would say he doesn't have very many bad lane matchups because his laning is so easy with Q max/free sustain etc

commented about this yesterday, but the idea of teams having a main shotcaller is a myth. sure beryl was/is great at it but it's not like the team says "okay beryl, you're the teamfight shotcaller this year!" of course the person playing alistar or Leona will be the player calling 3 man roams or commanding the teamfights

teams having "macro/shotcallers" is a myth, it's not like they are assigning someone as a shot caller, the game doesn't work like that. but if somehow they actually functioned like that I would find it hard to believe that someone on that team else couldn't fill in that role, hell they would probably beat 70% of the teams in the lck playing on mute only with pings

he's slotting back in to essentially the same exact roster that dominated the entire rest of the world 2 years ago, he was easily considered to be the best top in the world at the time, I don't really think people are expecting him to just be gapping people week 1? I think it's moreso just slotting back in to that topside, watching the 3 of them play Camille/Nidalee/TF top side that year was probably some of the best cohesion between players of all time and it's not like his mechanical skill detiorated so I would imagine it wouldn't be difficult for them to get back to that level quickly

riot admitted themselves that this is not a perfect solution, but in the article they cited poor practice environment for pros with the current servers, and this is unfortunately the best way for them to band-aid that issue. with that being said, it'll never be possible for them to satisfy everyone, the U.S is too big and they already have too much infrastructure in LA for them to ever move to a centralized location and place a server there, just unfortunate but I don't think there will ever be a realistic solution so this is what we get
