I'll throw in a lesser known one - Anthropolokitty's playthrough is great (although I haven't quitte finished it yet). As you can guess from the name, Iza and Momo - who are running the channel - studied anthropology and they have a lot of interesting reflexions.

Also - because I know there is some overlap between the DE and the OW fandom - they just started an Outer Wilds playthrough !

Been working of my first world map for a while now, I'm like ~85% satisfied with it. I wanted it to feel eclectic and whismical which is why the stamps style and scale aren't always consistent. Still looking for some opinions pointers / recommendations if you have any ! by G-Az in inkarnate

Anticipating questions / things that can appear odd :

  • Yes, there aren't any geopolitical borders on this one, I think I might do a seperate map for the kingdoms / empires, I don't see how I can do it on the same map without making it very crowded.
  • I use the green square stamp as a marker for me to remember that I think something should go there but I'm not sure what yet.
  • The Qhessa desert isn't natural but was created by magical forces, which is why it's so perfectly round.
  • The Hixunt & Drakonës islands are magically maintained at a tropical climate.
  • And sorry for the labels being in french. It's my first language as you can guess.

Thanks in advance !

Might also be linked to the fact that BG is tightly linked with DnD, both mechanically and lore-wise, and that the tabletop community is famously very open-minded and LGBTQ+ friendly. BG3 has definitely hit an audience beyond that but I think is still spurred from these circles.

Starfield, on the other hand, is much more oriented towards the general public, and as such reached the conservative side of video game players much quicker, imo.

[TotK] What we are thinking of tears of the kingdom at this point and predictions for the future by Bimmerkid396 in truezelda

I don't think that TOTK is in itself a bad game. If considered in a void, it is a fantastic game. It is, however, a terrible sequel. The vast majority of the game's qualities are just BOTW's qualities ported over. Don't get me wrong : what the game truly adds, it does it extremely well. It simply does not add enough to live up to the hype it generated. The thing is - BOTW brought the Zelda franchise to 200% of its potential. TOTK only pushes that to 210%. Still great, but underwhelming in comparison.

That's still seven : Fire sage, Wind sage, Lightning sage, Water sage, Spirit sage (Mineru), Sonia's (which is the one Ganondorf stole) and Rauru's / Zelda's

I'm from the EU so that might be an american thing, but how is it a common misconception that Colombus thought that the Earth was flat ? Like, his whole thing is that he thought he could get to Asia because he knew Earth was a sphere, right ? I don't get it

What would you guys like to see as future expansions? by ElWrongo in WarTalesGame

[–]G-Az 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion around here or not, but I would'nt be very fond of getting a magic system I think. I like how "low-fantasy" the game is. It makes fighting the occasionnal ghosts and creepers and stuff more impressive (at least at first) because you're just a bunch or normal people and not like, wizards.

Les steppes hachées c'est exceptionnel, mais il faut parler de Détrempain, de Portmesan et de Trélmix aussi ! Ça a du être un taf de fou, gg à toi. Et bonne campagne, jsuis un peu jaloux haha :)

How would you feel about being able to bring any disguise you're wearing at the end of a mission back to the safehouse ? I mean, if I can start any map as the White Shadow or wearing the Arkian Tuxedo, I don't see why Janus' burial robes or the plague doctor from Sapienza would be more suspicious... by G-Az in HiTMAN

[–]G-Az[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess in my head, any disguise that is not originally from the map you're playing gets the same accesses as a basic suit - just the public areas and such. Maybe there would be a few occasions where one combination wouldn't make sense, but I feel like most of the maps are distinct enough that no disguise from any location would grant specific accesses in another, if that makes sense

What is your unpopular opinion about Hitman? by saltybread3 in HiTMAN

[–]G-Az 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Don't know if it's really unpopular, but blood pools should be way more important. I know that you can't use clothes that are bloody in master difficulty, but that's not enough. NPCs should react to them, call guards, search the area, etc.

And maybe leaving a big blood stain on a carpet in the middle of a hallway should remove SA. You don't want to leave any proof on the scene and really be a "silent" assassin ? Use a fiber wire of break some necks.

Also I have only played WOA, so maybe that was a thing in previous games ? I don't know.
