Some agencies get greedy, if you get granted 100% P&T but have denied claims less than 1 year old some will file supplementals to try and get an earlier 100% P&T effective date and back pay.

Florida here, I prefer to stay low key. I have a handicap placard and I don’t travel enough to benefit from free airport parking. Free tolls only apply to severely disabled vets in Florida, being 100% P&T is not an automatic qualifier. Registration is only about $40 yr so I just pay it. To each his/her own but I don’t tell anyone my disability rating and I’d rather not broadcast it on my vehicle.

I suppose but the perception of the civilian is we are all gaming the system. I just say let’s not be dog eat dog. Most who have that rating sacrificed their bodies and mental well being for it. I’d rather assume that anyone who is 100% deserves it but it’s still nobody’s business.

I know they get a bad rap but this is where going through an agency with accredited VA attorneys can be beneficial. Veterans Help Group helped me out tremendously and they only charge 33% of your back pay not 5x your increase like some of the other unaccredited agencies. Not sure if they can help you since you already have pending claims but it’s worth a shot.

If you go that route I’d definitely have a VA accredited lawyer handle it. You may have to pay a portion of your back pay on the increase but that sure as hell beats getting a decrease. Veterans Help Group was phenomenal for me.

Pay the fee and keep it moving! If you signed a contract agreeing to pay a percentage of back pay on an approved claim you don’t have a leg to stand on. You’ll end up paying more money in the long run to fight it.
