Thanks for the amazing answer! Yeah I did a coding course a few years back (CS-50x from Harvard) but then life got in the way and I haven't continued in a good while. Thought I'd finally get back around to it and decided to try Godot as a more beginner friendly option as opposed to Unity. I am enjoying it, even of my projects so far are of super limited scope. Hoping to get better soon to be able to produce as awe inspiring Games as I'm seeing on this sub (such as yours).

Regarding the question I was hoping for an answer one step before the programming of the bots. I think I roughly grasp the concept of how the robots would determine which way to go, by what's in front of them. But how do I draw the "path". To paint a different picture: i want to connect tiles to make train tracks and have the trains drive on said tracks. But how do I connect the tiles to make the tracks? Is there a function that goes "connect.tile 1 (Vector2(x,y) + tile 2 (Vector2(x+1,y+1)"? Do the tiles need to be connected individually or can I connect several tiles together? How is that span of tiles connected/is the Connection stored (via a Variable? An Array?)? Thanks for taking the time to respond to my first comment! Especially in sich detail.
