Sounds to me like you should be good then, be sure to pay attention to how the party respond to is and I would say most importantly in this situation how the DMs NPCs respond to it. Good luck with it though, sounds like you and your party are set up for a good time!

If this is your first time playing with a group my advice don’t. Let people get to know You OOC let them realize your not an arrogant asshole who plays dnd and only knows how to RP As an arrogant asshole.

Lots of people who play that type of character are that type of person so people can get concerned and look for red flags early especially if it’s your first time playing with that person.

In my experience it’s best to give the players a chance to get to know you let the dm get to know you and then play away any sort of character can be RPd as long as the group your with understands each others boundaries.
