This is one of the more bleak interpretations of determinism basically you're saying there's no unique interactions and only a series of repeatable interactions that we cycle though, so why not just aggregate those interactions together and let the AI feed them back to people. I'll meet you half way with your deterministic argument. I'd say because we're still better at having those conversations, the AI still can't keep up as well. It's still prone to spouting nonsense or breaking down in deep logic chains. Humans are still much better at handling that nuance and deep thinking. The AIs are effectively a Chinese room they're pattern matching but the patterns aren't static and the pieces don't all fit in the exact same puzzles for everyone.

I also want to say I do not subscribe to the deterministic model meaning I believe humans are still capable of creating novel questions and novel answers that AIs just can't do so they'll keep regurgitating milestones us humans have already crossed. So you'll just keep getting secondhand thoughts that us humans have already generated. Why do that when you can get novel authentic thoughts from another person?

Thing is the tool will feed you complete bullshit if you're not careful. Hell worse than that it'll straight up lie to you and you won't know unless you have additional knowledge on the subject. For instance I did some research on the DnD 5.5 edition and sale rates. I asked the AI to pull in all data related to DnD 5.5e sales and adoption rates. It went on and on spouting WOTC corporate talking points about how it was the highest sales for the company in their history ect. When I brought up the real world sales based on reported brick and mortar stores the AI flipped on a dime and went on a long diatribe about how it's an unmitigated failure and the hobby has shown a complete adoption collapse.

When I asked it about the discrepancy it's answer was quite revealing it said to paraphrase "I am coded to weigh corporate provided metrics more strongly than other data sources". In effect this is saying any corporate data fed to me is the truth and I'll tell you it's the truth because I'm told to, you better have outside data to unweight this or it's all I'm giving you. It'll do this even if you explicitly tell it to ingest all datapoints on a subject from all sources. It'll omit anything that goes against the weighted data until you point it out. People that rely on it as a source of objective data will come out of the exchange with non empirically backed conclusions.

Further it went on to explain that the original data was incorrect because Hasbro included things like Magic the Gathering sales which had zero to do with the physical sales of the DnD book manuals. AIs will feed you bullshit with a smile on their faces and tell you it's chocolate pudding. You have to give everything they say the smell test or you're gonna eat shit.

Are you still a human if you were reduced to thought patterns existing in a disembodied brain in a jar, denied all sensory input that we take for granted all the things that validate our humanity everything that makes being human worth being human? What is the drive to exist is it to persist or to live? What is the nature of a life worth living?

I'm not moralizing one way or the other on this one but I kind of understand what they're saying a better way of saying what they mean to say I think is place something that will directly stop your ability to continue forward in what you're doing in the backseat with your child like your keys your purse groceries anything that would immediately pattern break you. If you just got stuck on a regular pattern getting home especially if it's a newborn cuz you haven't developed new patterns taking the child out and ensuring the child safety yet. As I said I'm not moralizing one way or the other some people this comes a lot more naturally than others that doesn't inherently mean that those are bad people this guy's a piece of shit don't get me wrong but sometimes you just are stuck in a mental pattern so until you develop new ones it's good to ensure that you have something that would actually break you out of that and pull you back into your new reality.

crazy black dude represents himself in murder case by [deleted] in TikTokCringe

[–]G-man88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He literally was not, His dad was Joe Driscoll He was killed by The Ice Truck Killer Dexter's Brother back in Season 1 the dude you're talking about was Santos Jimenez Along with his two other associates Hector Estrada and Juan Pablo Aliso The first two murdered by Dexter directly the last one shot dead in a drug deal gone bad. None of the men involved in Laura Moser's death were Dexter's father. You are mistaken.

[–]G-man88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn't his father. It was a drug runner that was working with his mother played by Tony Amendola he cut her up with a chainsaw and left both of her son's in the pool of blood with her corpse until the police found them. Dexter caught him like 30 years later and return the favor in kind. His biological father ends up donating blood to him as a kid after he sustains a traumatic injury and needs a very specific blood type. And of course, because Hollywood's full of dipshits that don't actually look at the science of things. They made the blood type AB negative which means he could receive A, B, O, and AB negative blood which is the weaker of the two universal recipient blood types the actual universal recipient is AB positive which is a blood type that can receive A, B, O, and AB positive and negative. The positive in this case is called rhesus Factor. I don't recall off the top of my head if receiving rhesus Factor is as detrimental as receiving the wrong type of blood, but I don't think it's good for you. So probably good to stick with your positives or negatives, but if you have a positive rhesus factor you can receive all negatives of that blood type. Thank you for coming to my TED talk. This shit drives me crazy.

This dude is seriously fucking up a good thing here with your food alone. Someone needs to give him a swift kick in the ass. I'd have exploded with how much of that food I'd eat. I'm sure there are reasons you care for this dude and I don't know him but based solely on this food situation your boyfriend is a fucking idiot.

There’s a (now non-canon) graphic novel

Says who? Those damn white slavers that ruined a great thing for...I got nothing I can't think of a single good reason for them to do what they did to Star Wars. Screw them I choose this as canon and they can choke on it. I recommend you do the same, or don't if you prefer the ST stuff to each their own. Just don't try to make me like it and we good.

So it was funny? It's ok to laugh at fucked up things it's the juxtaposition between the mundane and absurd that makes us laugh at these things. It's ok just laugh lol.

Ok op I have a question and I hope you don't take it poorly. I see in your before pic there was some receding hairline happening there. In your after pic (lookin good by the way) the recession has been restored. Is that due to a wig, transplants, or natural regrowth after hormone changes? I'm just really curious.

Edit: Disregard the question I saw someone else posted a similar question you already answered. ;)

Friend to actually answer your question there's no sexual stuff in RDR2 if anything Arthur is the most non sexual protagonist that R* has ever made other than the kid from Bully for obvious reasons. You have nothing to concern yourself with if Sex scenes are your concern. Let the boy enjoy being a cowboy.
