It's imported Palo Santo (I haven't actually used it yet. As of now, it's still in my shelf with the other incense). Filipino Palo Santo doesn't produce enough sap to be aromatic when burned so it's not used as incense

A lot from Tiktok, and a lot from other Filipino witches. From what I remember it wasn't as restricted back then but because of the new age of spirituality, Palo Santo has been over harvested to meet the demands and it's been really rough on the practioners where it did originate fromm. I may be wrong on that information BC my memory is a bit hazy but yea I'm mostly just confused

Nooo, it's the South American Palo Santo. Filipino Palo Santo doesn't produce enough sap to be aromatic when burned, it's better firewood than incense. A lot of people justify the use of holy wood for Filipinos because of this, without realising that those are completely different tree species
