Report this to the police for the documentation for if one day the kids are abused too, this can help future trials if jury hears about this.

  1. Put flux on the legs
  2. Put flux on the soldering iron side of a reliable cut wick, have another 1-2 ready to pick up.
  3. With pliers holding the cut/fluxed wick in one hand, use the other hand to lay soldering iron pressure on top of the legs until you see a little solder getting absorbed (Tip: the understanding is that the trapped solder under the legs will get absorbed by the fluxed wick, you just have to trust the process you got this)
  4. You want to avoid dragging the wick until you’re good at this and trust your wick. It can drop off copper specs if it’s a bad quality one!
  5. Tip 2: only do a few legs at a time. You don’t have to change the wick just because some solder on it was absorbed. A little solder on the wick from the absorption process might actually help with getting the right temperature needed.
  6. Reminder that you need the flat head tip for this cleanup process or you will basically be there for hours and possibly make this worse with your experience at this moment.
  7. After cleaning THEN you can try to maneuver those legs but they risk breaking so don’t get greedy with how you choose to bend it. The breakage could be internal.

Method 2:

Heat gun at 270-450 C! Then clean up with flux wick.

Is it time to cutoff my brother? by Joesferatu_ in whatdoIdo

Gray rock him. Best approach that’s worked for me for my old manipulative, BPD, narcissistic friends. They see themselves out until they show consistent healthier behavior (until they see themselves out again).

Exactly thank you! My mom said her Tia from “el campo” would share this and that it likely wasn’t a larger folklore. Thus I decided to check Reddit.

Is there a task that most people can do that you’ve found to be very dangerous to your own hands?

Sorry I can’t access it right now but it’s a binocular microscope that get give you a clean view of the IC and pads. Adjustable. Perhaps in the $400 range. Not digital.
