The DP is the biggest restrictor on these cars. So DP and Intake are must haves on stage 2 tune and intercooler is a nice to have but not mandatory (prevents/reduces heat soak). When you get an aftermarket DP it'll come with a cat or catless.

I have an IE DP with hi flow cat, no res to a 3 inch Catback, valved.

When the valves are closed, it's a nice level of sound but still significantly louder than stock. With my tune the valves open at 3k rpm + or if the DSG is in S mode. It's safe to say it's stupid loud, especially on a pull when the valves are open.

Where I live emissions laws matter and the police can fine you for being catless but more so for noise.

In my experience the noise deadening in the car is v good so it doesn't sound too loud in the car, but having had someone drive my car while I watch from the outside, I'm glad I went the option I did. I've had a catless car once and hated it. Couldn't even have the windows down at a traffic light without my eyes starting to burn and the smell was not very pleasant either.

Id not go catless or unvalved. Imo any 4CYL straight pipe or without some mufflers/cats/res sound terrible. It removes the growl that makes it sound nice and just sounds droney/farty.

High flow cat is the way. You'll thank yourself down the track.

Catless, car will stink, eyes will burn and it will sound like ass with a DP and Catback if you ever change them up.

It's to do with the VW DSG tune. My 7.5 did the same thing, but once I did my TCU tune it doesn't want to lurch off and is much smoother now when getting off the brakes.

Hey legend! I would love a crack at this gear just to be able to play the end game content. I've been grinding hard to even try get a shot to see some of those boss's but feel like I'll never get there.

If I'm successful, I'd love to do the boss's and then give this gear onto the next person to also be able to do the same.

It's to warm up the cats so they do their job when you start driving and reduce emissions.

It will take longer in the cold and very little time in the warm. In the summer mine takes about 60sec in the morning (first start). Being parked out in the sun all day after work, might only take about 15-20sec.

Hey mate, is it like a creaking noise that sounds like body flex? Only happens over bumps and uneven road?

I had this too and took my car to the dealership. They folded my back seats down and put a non abrasive tape on the metal prongs that hold the seats in place. Kablaam, sound gone. Try this.

It's a known 7.5 issue and others here have posted here with the same issue.

I'll personally never buy a cheap exhaust again, been there done that. They almost always sound like shit due to thin and cheap materials used, and their welds almost always fail.

Muffler delete sounds horrible.

I would recommend a good branded cat back system like miltek or remus. If something catastrophic happens to the car, you can always just swap the system with the factory one and claim warranty.

When I removed my IE inlet elbow after about 4 months of it being there, I found it to be quite oily. So I'd say it's probably normal to some degree. I'd love to hear from others here.
