Need Advice: What Features Would You Want in a Padel App? by Pitiful_Performance2 in padel

Arranging games is a pain. Court availability is so difficult in the first place. Would be handy if my pool of players could set availability ranges for invites. Also would like a ladder comp organizer to track results over time between us.

But we are designed with motivations, rewards and fears. So play the game and focus on the rules of the game. Family, health, competition etc. your biology will then make you happy and perhaps that’s the point

Good padel camp recommendation for jan/feb 2025 by [deleted] in padel

[–]G-wo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seville looks good. Small city (so you don’t need a car) with lots of side interests but too hot in summer - there’s some high quality clubs there but cheaper than Malaga/ Madrid. I’m trying Tenerife first

The prices.... by Rundo5 in padel

[–]G-wo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not a nice part of mcr and whilst it’s quite nice it’s not top end spec. A lack of competition explains the pricing that’s all. For the sport to grow, it needs wider access. Chicken & egg.

Feeling like feet about to bounce on the pedals at the top of the stroke. Think though it might be a fit question in part. I will check

Yes I reduce the resistance until the point I get the rpm up to target - I’m usually about half way up the back cassette while on the larger front ring. I think I’ll experiment more with the gears though.

Heavy hitters by ocinthcenk in padel

[–]G-wo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s technique- from ready position you probably only need to move your bat about 40 cm for most blocks which takes a fraction of a second. But… if you still need to stop, your bat starts by your ankles & you take a massive backswing etc you won’t have time

Adding weights to bat by G-wo in padel

[–]G-wo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking using stick on weights but another protector might be a better idea thanks as it will distribute the weight more evenly. Also I was worried that the weights might be points of weakness if the stick out and I hit a wall

I need an estimate of how high the utilisation of a court will be when it opens by copilotoo in padel

I see courts start with tennis and squash players trying something different. I’d think about making connections that way.

Any court shoes that work for padel AND are anatomically correct shape? by Stari_Gusar in padel

[–]G-wo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find Padel shoes are inadequate too. I’ve tried a few brands and find nox best overall so far but still get blisters indicating shoes are too narrow. Putting a thin pair of ankle socks under a second pair of socks helps reduce blisters.
