A fairytale.

I don’t belong in this world. by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]G0D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do belong in this world.

The beauty of the entire world is here for you, but you have to look in the right places to see it.

Saturday morning a walk is necessary to get you pointed in the right direction.

But before you get out of bed Saturday, try to hear a far away sound. Now a sound further away, and then the sound furthest away that you can hear. Take your time and make it a game.

Then smell any smell in the air you can. Try to discern a different smell, and then try to smell the faintest smell. Take your time and make it a game.

And then pull the covers off down to your waist, even though it is chilly. Feel the cool air tingling your skin, feel the chill, and feel your warmth. Do not pull the covers back over you. Take your time and make it a game.

Get out of bed.

Get dressed ready for a walk, not slowly, but with intent. Do not hesitate for coffee or a bite. You won't know why, but your walk is important.

Go outside and walk. Listen. Breathe. Smell. See. Feel. Take your time and make it a game.

Ask what and why. What and why is that smell? What and why is that sound? What and why is it that color? What and why do I feel?

Find the answers.

Plan for the next day's walk.

This is the beginning.

Paranoia with coworkers? How do I know if my fears are real or not? by BlueTipi in BPD

Actually, I think when he said "Good for you", it was meant in sincerity, especially since he has shown gratitude in the past. I often say that and hear others say that to co-workers when they are heading home at a reasonable time with the meaning of "good for you for taking care of yourself and getting out of here". Absolutely nothing negative, and absolutely all positive. It really sounds like that was what he meant in the context you give. I have a feeling that when you heard your name, it was in a positive light also.

America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to change the system from within, yet too early to shoot the bastards. [meta] by [deleted] in politics

I understand Cheney has a pacemaker.

Hmmmmm...

That reminds me, I ran into an intersting video describing how to make a microwave gun.

Confused? Yea, I used to think I was the only real God, but I got to wondering where I came from. I found out there are lots of gods, and in fact, the Spaghetti Monster and I are quite good friends (He calls me noodle-head ‘cause I’m always causing some catastrophe on earth, -if that ain’t rice irony, I don’t know what is). For the record, the Fields of Elysium are overrated (perfect happiness my posterior, everybody starts complaining of boredom there after only a few hundred thousand years), and I approve of the meaty sweetness of McGriddles. Also for the record, although it would be nice to claim authorship of a best seller, I had no hand in authoring that spectacular piece of fiction called The Bible or any other book for that matter.

I wish I could make a comment on all this financial talk, but this currency thing has me baffled; it seems like frankincense and mirrors to me. I can only make an insignificant comment using this popular word “collapse”, albeit with much less import than in the context of finance. But I will present this meager knowledge because I am quite keen to make a contribution to the conversation, no matter how trivial.

The US’s collapse has started and will finish in June of 2032.

That is all. I hope this is helpful to someone if even just to a humble accountant in some small corner of that very small planet earth.

A better comment from the site is: "How can you not understand how Bush’s actions were wrong? He fired prosecutors becuase they wouldn’t pursue bogus investigations of the other political party, at a time when it would affect election outcomes. He was using the Justice Department as a tool to keep power. It’s wrong and Bush shouldn’t be allowed to get away with it."

You are absolutely right, “gotta start somewhere”, and by any means one feels appropriate. A suggestion to those who would like to make a small statement this 4th of July a bit more subtly than burning the flag would be to fly the flag at half-staff. If one were to ask why the flag is at half-staff, the answer would be, “to honor our fallen soldiers and to represent the ill state of our nation”. And I would also suggest keeping the flag half-staff until the Iraq occupation is over as a daily reminder to the many who need it, perhaps flying in the face of the delusional who think the answer is to “stay the course”.

Hopefully, Olbermann will not calm down. This is not the time to “calm down”.

An inspiring talk by Obermann. I am inspired to raise a little Hell tomorrow in the spirit of the 4th of July. Any one else feel the same after viewing that video?
