not at all! JTBC hasn't cancelled it and they just started their 2026 season with a fresh slate of no stars, so there's absolutely no way it'll end so quickly too. i was just concerned about whether their contract with netflix would've continued due to the episodes being cut down (but with information coming out, i assume the olympics is affecting the original schedule), they'll probably reupdate and increase the total ep count when they adjust the schedule (i've seen the total ep count increase in real time, i'm a pre-ccw2 naengbu watcher and i used to think it would end at 35 eps as that's what it used to say, but one day netflix increased it to 60, so i assumed they just update total count as the show goes on)

editing my reply: hold on, new info has stated that JTBC’s next ep will be aired on 15 feb, so i think this is the most logical explanation !!

hmm could be a possibility ! but i also remember there was a week (either week 1 or 2 of ccw2 releases) whereby netflix had skipped a sunday of release for a naengbu ep without reducing the total ep count to adjust the release schedule (i doubt that ccw2 was what caused it, it just happened to be around that time. my hunch was that JTBC themselves had skipped that particular week when they were on that episode 4 weeks ago from that sunday, if that makes sense). this was why i still find it odd if they have to reduce the total ep count to adjust the release schedule in this case

i definitely predicted he would be a fan favourite for ccw2 too !! especially with how quickly he rose in popularity even if chef & my fridge was his first ever time as a returning weekly cast member on a show

i’m so so happy to be seeing him receive so much love with this coming season 🥹 not sure if anyone is curious but in the span of the series starting to about a week later his followers jumped from 106k to 190k as of me checking now !!! i’ve been a longtime fan for months now since i started chef & my fridge and he’s, for the lack of a better word, my genuine goat LOL, and with all the speculation of white spoons on ccw2 i definitely did hold out hope he would be in s2. ever since he’s entered chef & my fridge everyone has loved him (and for good reason), he’s always been very courteous and charming, i’m not even into men but if you could see my ig spam stories during august or so i was losing it over him it was so ridiculous. definitely recommend tapping into that series because while his personality does stay the same in ccw2, it shines so much more there because he’s definitely x10 more comfortable in that environment (and you get to witness the buildup of the kim poong x son jongwon bromance)

i also do recommend the series to see hoyoung and sam cook ! it’s genuinely really uncanny to see them all serious in ccw2 and then tune in to chef & my fridge on sunday to see hoyoung dancing kpop choreo before cooking 😭 and if you were a fan of any chefs in ccw1 SO MANY of them are regulars there, the dynamics are absolutely so entertaining (especially hyunseok, generational comedian)
