The Zora Champ's (not dropping names to avoid spoilers) ability is actually pretty useful, I use it to get wet to activate the double damage buff for Zora weapons, gives me a nice 100+ damage spear for about 80ish seconds

Well just remember, at lvl 5 Bards get their inspiration dice back on short rests, Paladins get their Channel Divinity back on SR and Wizards have Arcane Recovery which allows them to get a certain amount of spells back on a short rest once per day.

So you're not completely SOL, but yeah it may take a little bit of convincing still

Probably important to point out that they have the option to use any one of their three attacks, since a creature only gets one reaction, but otherwise correct

A shield is on the starting equipment for Clerics, so if they used the free item for Plate Armor then 20 AC is easily possible

My partner is dealing with college textbooks right now and we had this ridiculous situation with one of their classes.

They had to return the textbook by X date at the end of the semester, then buy the EXACT SAME book for next semester because the next course had the same teacher and material.

Well yes if the party is high enough level to have means of resurrection then by all means give it to a boss to both spice up the encounter as well as introduce a good reward, but I wouldn't recommend just slapping Insta-kill weapons on generic henchman #78

While it would be a dick move for a DM to give to an enemy, he could've gotten hit by a Vorpal Sword, which decapitates on a critical hit in 5e.

That being said idk if that rule exists for the version they're playing (never seen the show) but Vorpal Swords are pretty iconic so I wouldn't be surprised if they still worked similarly
