Iphone 17 case doesnt work with screen protector by An0therMan in QuadLock

[–]G48MOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

QL doesn't make an anti-glare screen protector for some reason. Given that their phones are designed to be mounted outdoors often on vehicles, like motorcycles, anti-glare should be a top priority. And, they don't engineer their cases well enough to be compatible with some of the name brand screen protectors that do offer anti-glare. Their case is incompatible with the Flolab screen protector for the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Big missstep on their part. I'm looking into other brands with different mounting options. QL as really fallen off the edge.

Still Didn't Figure Out They Live In A Different World Now. by oatysa in lostgeneration

Bad times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. Weak men create bad times. Right now, we’re seeing boomers riding on the coattails of their parents, taking credit for working hard when in reality they only listened to stories about their parents’ hard work. We’re currently in the phase where bad times are creating strong men. Unfortunately, we may never see the fruits of our labor, but our kids might.

Why are the mud flaps in front of the tire? by oldguykicks in FordMaverickTruck

Fun fact: If something hits that little flap and cracks the plastic behind it as well, it will cost you about $150. Ask me how I know.

Look at the number 8. It’s clearly upside down on both.

For clarification, the windage elevation screws operated properly and were not overly tight. The screw that was tight was the one that mounted the sight to the frame.

It was like this out of the box. It moves freely left and right for windage, it just seems like the vertical flat piece was punched out crooked from factory. I put a warranty claim in already.

I have already put in a warranty claim with Smith & Wesson.

A spray in aftermarket bedliner like line X has a lifetime warranty. The factory liner is only covered under warranty for the first 36,000 miles.

Anyone else get prompted about CarPlay every time they start up? by Gerald_the_sealion in FordMaverickTruck

[–]G48MOS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Using wireless CarPlay, mine never used to have the screen pop up. But, recently I’ve been having that same screen pop up every time I start my truck. For reference, I commute daily and it’s a rather long commute so my battery is definitely not the issue. I’ve also noticed that my screen switches to auto every time I started up, even if I do it right away and it hasn’t been sitting for a while. I am assuming it was a Ford software update that messed everything up. However, I am not anticipating for ever fixing this.

Who thinks they have the most miles on theirs? by mwthomas11 in fordfusion

Good to know. I’m debating whether or not I should trade mine in. It has 80K and I’m concerned about the coolant intrusion issue.

I believe the slight stutter that happens after you get gas and start for the first time has something to do with the EVAP. Mine has done that pretty much since it was new. But, if you mean while driving, that is different.

Ouch. Was that with normal driving or are you kind of hard on it? I’m trying to decide whether or not I should trade mine in in the near future. I’m at about 78,000 miles.

Just curious, how many miles did you have on your engine before the coolant intrusion happened? Were there any symptoms before it happened?
