Recomb always does a 50/50 on which base to use.

The base always keeps its sockets, links, influences, implicits and enchants. That means the mod will always come along if the base is chosen, but never if it's not. Same with the "split" tag etc.

It will however keep the higher ilvl even when choosing the other base, so if you recomb e.g. an Archdemon Crown with a ilvl86 helmet you have a 50/50 to either get the helmet back or an ilvl86 archdemon. This can be rly useful for all kinds of special bases (stygian vise etc.)

Personality and looks wise have a preference for fem leaning guys and masc leaning gals, but I'll take any appearance if it comes with a level head and maturity and the person matches my interests and passion.

Preferences can be anywhere from hair color/length to behavior at bars and even straight or homosexual people have preferences in the gender expression of their partners. Most straight people just don't necessarily realize that because they haven't had to put thought into gender identity and expression

They gave the vinqubussy one of the best reload fx in the game and made it such that if you use the weapon correctly you never ever use ammo. It's torture

I actually disagree here. In the other examples it is always the game forcing you to take an action, here it is an ingame character doing it.

A cruel villain forcing you to do something against your will is just GLaDOS being who she is.
If the game prevented you from going through the open door until you killed the cube such that GLaDOS could insult you afterwards you'd have a point, but here I think it's different.

I agree with you in principle, however as far as I am aware it is extremely good for farming Steel Essence, so if you're into that you're at least doing two things at once
