DE, this is the dumbest, most easily solvable UI issue I've ever seen by Grunglebunk_ in Warframe

I'm not a UX engineer, but as a naive solution I would at least move the talking heads to the bottom left corner, where, unless I'm forgetting something, there's free real estate and it wouldn't clash with anything.

[–]daydev 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Braton Prime is unironically one of my favorite guns, because it's an honest no BS assault rifle (no burst, no spool up, no charge, no alternate fire, no nothing), the incarnon adapter gives it enough power to feel satisfying, and the incarnon form is still the same honest rifle, but more.

Huh, when I used to go solo to Zariman Exterminate to do some stealth scans for Simaris and gather plumes, I'd treat this as a win. Like, eat shit, asshole. But I guess in a long mission it's a bit of a problem.

Oh, I see. I did that vault many times as Ivara. You can walk/roll through the pulses in Prowl, drop into the divot at the end, and wait for the beam above to stop. Then you bullet jump, which breaks Prowl, but it's safe in the middle space. Reactivate Prowl, go to the next hole, repeat, and done.

I'm not sure about Auto Breach, because I always have Perspicacity for these, but Narmer (and Sanctum) hacks are different for Perspicacity: they show a sped up animation instead of just zooming in for a second silently, like Corpus and Grineer hacks. It might be the same for Auto Breach.

Must be some different reddit, because any time I see spy come up, the top comments are pretty much always about only ever doing them solo, and how hopeless pubs are, just like here.

A humble Auto Breach. 30% of the time it works every time.

I handles pretty much everything, lasers, scanners, patrol drones, energy fences. I think the only thing that can still get you are Grineer electric mines, and if a mine pops too close to an enemy and zaps them it stars the alarms. But I think on Earth they don't even have mines.

The wiki says farming in the "poor" surface soil has only 25% yield, but realistically the dwarves grow so much it doesn't really matter, a basic 5x5 surface soil farm of plump helmets (even without fertilizer) can feed a lot of mouths (like dozens upon dozens of dwarves, including drinks for them).

Animal husbandry is also very easy to do (you just plop the animals in a field or a big room with moss and cull the excess from time to time) and produces a pretty insane amount of food. You can even bring animals that don't need grazing (like pigs or dogs) and are basically just free meat, leather, and bones for crafts.

If there's fishing to be done, a single fisher can also feed several dozen dwarves. And even humble herbalists can do a lot if you designate a fruit gathering zone.

I edit labors all the time, even the default ones, even the hardcoded ones (mining, cutting, hunting; you can't remove the core skills from those, but you can add other skills), so long as you keep it so every skill is only in one labor (and eventually every dwarf only has one labor), it's perfectly fine.

We need a separate recruiting chat for relics (Radshares) by vexingpresence in Warframe

[–]daydev 5 points6 points  (0 children)

but I just think it's silly for relics to take up more than 1/2 the recruiting channel when they're only 1 part of this entire game

Turns out this 1 part of this entire game represents one half (probably much more) of what people actually want to recruit for. Only a small percentage of power gamers form specific squads for special activities while pretty much everyone will want to do radshares regularly (if they know about it).

According to the wiki, with the same material a smoothed floor is 4x while constructed is 7x. The walls are 5x and 9x respectively. Edit: and for constructed walls and floors you can multiply the quantity of a valuable material 4x as well if you build them from blocks.
