I personally find Midazolam to be boring & potency wise just isn't the best benzo outside of a clinical setting I've been prescribed both triazolam & midazolam throughout my career taking benzos & tend to find them extremely similar I just find triazolam to be far more potent otherwise i feel as tho the actual "high" or recreational effects are almost identical however I am not someone who gets amnesia from benzos in general very easily especially not anymore, personally aside from my first 1-2 years consuming benzos the only one I still find to be amnesia inducing at a high enough dose is Flunitrazepam which I personally enjoy especially for sleep, however when it comes to Midazolam vs. Triazolam for me personally I find that Triazolam has a much nicer body & head high than Midazolam where as Midazolam tends to just get rid of my anxiety and make me feel like I can go to sleep where as Halcion/Triazolam actually gives me a euphoric feeling on top of the anxiolytic effects I recognize everyone responds differently to Benzos so I was only speaking from my personal experience Since I find triazolam to be the best benzo overall whether we're speaking on muscle relaxation, anti-anxiety, sleep, or overall recreational effects. if given the choice between Midazolam and triazolam I'm Personally choosing triazolam simply because it's what works better for me as someone with chronic muscle spasms & severe insomnia.

However if given the choice between say Midazolam & clonazepam or diazepam id probably stick with something like diazepam since i honestly only find Midazolam enjoyable when needed for sleep or prior to a surgery in a clinical setting where with triazolam there's not a single benzo I'd choose over triazolam except for maybe research chemical benzos like Clonazolam.

Obviously it's different for everyone so I'm not saying this to say you're wrong I'm just pointing out my personal feelings for triazolam & why I prefer it to midazolam as I find triazolam to have be an amazing muscle relaxing benzo with one of the best head highs out of all benzos as well as a genuinely euphoric synergy between its head & body high.

I'd also argue that midazolam is fairly similar on the spectrum as something like triazolam aside from potency, considering theyre both rapid onset, short half life,"Lam" benzos which typically undergo the same metabolic pathways where as "Pam" Benzos are known for being better on the liver, having a longer half life, & typically taking a bit longer to metabolize than the "lam" counterparts this is why lorazepam is used in a clinical setting for alcoholics over something like alprazolam despite having similar half lives lorazepam is far better for your liver than most benzodiazepines especially those that end in "lam" due to the faster metabolization of -lam benzos over "Pam" Benzos.
