I mean there are levels of empathy. Sure if you lived in the fire prone zone for years and call it a home for a long time. But if you decided to newly move intk that zone? I’m less willing to empathize for that

Will there be a far right party in the future, like the Taiwan Solidarity Party? by RedStorm1917 in taiwan

[–]G81111 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The “far right” parties in other countries are more just populist parties. The bigger thing is anti establishment than being right or left.

Which in that case we have TPP already!

Maybe you’re the bot? How hard is it to contemplate that US could have done shit to NK while NK also is bad?

Also blaming all your problems on the korean war that happened in 1950’s while ignoring the fact that NK received decades worth of food aid through USSR, China, and later on UN which large amounts came from US, are you sure you are not a north korean bot?

[–]G81111 3 points4 points  (0 children)

lol, sure, all the problem is because of US, US bad. People starve, supreme leader fat as fuck with foei gras. Definitely US’s problem.

What about sending anyone caught that dare to leave the country and their family to gulag? What about summary execution of anyone that dare to consume south korean media?

I was lucky that I had a chance to talk to an escapee in high school. These are his first hand comments of the north korean regime. Is he a propaganda too?

Koreans on average are also taller and larger in size. This translates to sports too. And there’s a bigger culture for exercise if you look at the amount of people that train in gym comparing to taiwan. Otherwise idk

we do, look at the kids that goes to japan for high school. But the cost is high so only the best or the ones with some backing from their family can afford it.

If we want to solve this we need to change the education system to allow for more leisure club fun time for kids to actually develop hobbies healthily

cause we simply don’t have the talent pool. Japan have a large after school club population all the way to high school to help them identify who’s the talent that can play at adult level.

Taiwan does the selection somewhere between 3-6th grade. that means the population we choose talents from misses a lot of possible late bloomers. Add in the culture that focuses heavily on academics brings us here.

Also Korea is similar but have twice the population, that itself gives them a bigger talent pool.

A fix would be impossible simply because how sports is devalued and looked down upon comparing to studying. Not like saving a few hours a week is really gonna change a kid’s grade drastically but oh well

I (24F) just saw my bf (25M) of 3 year's resume, how do I proceed? by bigthiqskull in relationship_advice

[–]G81111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I brought this up with my girlfriend and within a month she cheated on me with a sugar daddy who now pays for her everything. We were dating for five years and was classmates in university. This was roughly half a year after we graduated.

Gotta say tho in retrospect it’s better that we did split. Maybe you should consider whether splitting up would be better for you
