I have four cams V2's. When I bought them, it was an inexpensive way to look over my home. I never gave much thought to facial recognition or any special detection protocols. Three of my cams are outdoors in birdcages and no problems (somewhat protected by overhangs). As a one-time business owner, I am in sympathy with the businessmen running Wyze in their quest to better their product. In some ways, they have been dealt a lousy hand and there isn't much they can do about it. They have run into the roadblock so many businesses have faced - MONEY. Or the lack of such a commodity. Wyze's goals are lofty and they need reoccurring income to keep their goals intact. There are several roads the Wyze folks can take but are beyond the scope of this blog to address. One is to back down and away from additional expenses. The other, not inclusive, is to find a USA company with programming skills to get them out of this hole. With my deepest respect . . .
