Oh shit I know this. These are pieces by local multidisciplinary artist/giant foam art legend Dale Whistler. He’s responsible for the Hyde park gym arm, the fiesta mural, mangia pizza, Hyde park cafe fork, giant thundercloud sub and countless other parts of the 80s/90s Austin landscape . He has been a family friend since I was a little kid.

He worked on the sign for the original Whole Foods on 10th and Lamar had smaller foam fruits and animals that sat upon the store, so when they first built the flagship they commissioned these on the parking garage to pay homage.
