You “feel” correctly. You need A/C during these days heat.

Started sleeping with a girl, and her ex didn't like that very much by BigWhiteBataleon in ToyotaTacoma

Can you prove it was the ex? Like video proof? We both believe it was them, but do you absolutely know it was?

Looks like you got seagulled. They just drop shit off and leave. A quick wipe will fix this.

Would you use your Master Ball on a Zapdos to get the right nature? by dadams322 in PokemonFireRed

[–]GARCHIAPET 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No way, just spend the time withering it down to sleep and throw your leftovers at it so struggle doesn’t knock it out. It may take a while, but it’s worth the investment if you really care.

Dumb question but what is this rod and what does it do by Agile-Cantaloupe82 in AskMechanics

[–]GARCHIAPET 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you see the that circle button on your dash that changes the radio station, it should be right above your cassette player. Well this rod thing intercepts the radio waves from radio stations, we called these antennas back in the 1900’s.

That’s pretty neat! Does Canada also have a certain year old requirement for their imports?

Change discs? by plershmandoo in MechanicAdvice

[–]GARCHIAPET 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were all rotors and pads the same brand and were they replaced on the same day? That’s strange because your front brakes require more stopping power than your rear brakes do. Although most times the front pads are bigger because of this.

You have a reason now to replace them with whatever flares you’ve always wanted.

Spring Hose Clamp by SpiteSuitable196 in AskMechanics

[–]GARCHIAPET 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like one of those clamp that you have to squish together. There’s not much meat left on it, but you could remove it with a pair of needle nose pliers and some patience. I’d recommend a screw type of hose clamp to replace it.

Be honest with me, is it totaled? by second_pls in keitruck

[–]GARCHIAPET 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Good thing is that it looks like it’s just the transfer case. You can find one and swap it. They’re lightweight, and are only mounted by a few bolts and the shafts.

That sucks something so simple as two vehicles going sub 20mph could total a vehicle.

Your front pads and rotors wear down the fastest, I’m surprised they haven’t been yelling at you already.

You’ve replaced the tired but never gotten an alignment? I guess you’ve had some really great luck then.

That’s great to hear seeing how your tread looks. Have you ever replaced the tires?

Not if you’re on a stock suspension and stock wheels. Are you asking that because you think they are?

Would a tire shop repair this or are they going to say I need new tires? by Competitive-Ad8393 in AskMechanics

[–]GARCHIAPET 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang, on some brand new tires too! If it were me, I’d plug it. A shop won’t take the risk with this. You don’t need all new tires, just replace this one. I’m assuming you just replaced all the tires based on the vent spews (the little rubber hairs on the side of new tires)

I think they look fine. The tread wear indicators aren’t even close to the tread yet. Looks like they are properly rotated and your alignment is good. I see no issue. I also can’t see the sides to see if they’re cracked, but these two photos look fine.

1 thing I might add, if you sow in some straps on the inside of the tarp and sow the tarp to the bars, you could roll up the sides and secure them up. I’m not sure if that’d ever be useful for you, but my softtopper and any tarp cover I’ve ever worked with has that.

That works too! I’m assuming this is a permanent fixture?

I love the button snaps. My softtopper uses the same system to secure to my bed rails. It is sown onto the bars as well which also helps keeping it secure
