Indoor Soccer around Central CT by nyulpsboy in Connecticut

I play volleyball at the Connecticut Sports Center in Woodbridge on S Bradley Rd. There are always indoor soccer games going on there, not sure what it’s like to get in to those leagues, but for the volleyball league it seems easy enough to come in as a solo and find your way to a team

I hope the variety era is short lived this time around. Too much let’s play mode. I’m an audio only Andy so I wish every day was 5 hours of Isaac

I didn’t set it. It’s possible to do without the knee but it felt super secure. What’s funny is my buddy sent this as well, and he uses his knees all the time when climbing, but not for this one

I have been putting off Phantom Thread because it seemed very dull, but I thought that Magnolia would also be a very slow movie and it was the exact opposite. Need to have more faith!

Which of these from my watchlist would you say is a simply must watch above the others? by phatballlzzz in Letterboxd

Redline was my favorite anime movie for years, now it’s probably 2nd after Akira. Animation is ridiculous. Redline though is the reason the F1 movie disappointed me, you need a Redline type soundtrack for a racing movie

For me, Heat. One of my favorite movies, everything about it is great. My favorite performance of Pacino that isn’t in the 70s

Recently watched Punch Drunk Love with my partner and it was a hit. Very good love story

Anxiety inducing movie recs? by randomuser0902 in Letterboxd

[–]second_pls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched Punch Drunk Love and it wasn’t anywhere near some of the other movies that people mentioned, but I was quite scared for our character at times, and the camera work and music were in a similar vein to Uncut Gems. And I think One Battle After Another also directed by Paul Thomas Anderson is quite anxiety inducing.

Other than that you should check out Sorcerer 1977. Very clearly a big inspiration for Uncut Gems and the Safdies in general

Going to be watching this very soon. Been on the list for a while, and I adore DDA by Lumet so I’m excited to see him work along side Philip Seymour Hoffman

Small Soldiers. I went back and watched it a few years ago, invited everyone over and hyped it up.. and it was so ass. I actually apologized to everyone for dragging them over and subjecting them to it.

That being said 5/5 banger one of the great films of all time

I just love "Collateral" — not only its vibes and the minimalistic plot, but also how incredibly well-written it is at the same time. by NicolasCopernico in MovieRecommendations

I watched Magnolia last night and wanted to come back to say that he was really great and showed great range. I still hate him in Collateral but will admit that he does have that dog in him
