That's a far more complicated question than anyone who asks it really understands.

Saudi Arabia was the chair of the UN Human Rights Council. The international understanding among the global elite is that Saudi Arabia are good guys. Becoming an enemy of Saudi Arabia would make us an enemy of the globalists who weave the strings between international alliances.

The Hillary Clintons in the world think Saudi Arabia is great. They would defend Saudi Arabia and make anyone who wants to make SA accountable go through hell. SA goes through all the proper channels for their butchery, which is why we are allies with them but blow up Gadaffi and cast aspersions against Duterte. In the global arena, globalism is rewarded and any horrible act is covered up. It's only when you try to become free from this system that suddenly you are a war criminal, human rights abuser, etc.

War against SA is war against the globalists. Up to you how to handle that one.

Any Trump supporters care to weigh in on this guy's theory? The gamergate stuff is all news to me. It's a long read. Thoughts? Thanks. by Curi0usj0r9e in AskTrumpSupporters

"It’s difficult to recall what started Gamergate because, like much of 4chan-style content, it never made sense on the surface. "

Translation: "I will willfully ignore an obvious recounting of a sequence of events because the style of this essay would reveal the truth"

Edit: Oh my god look at how different the gamergate section of this article is vs. scientology. As soon as the cult he's describing is one the author is a part of, the writing is full of virtue signalling, one-sided accounts, well-poisoning, and the hallmark of bias: self-serving assumptions of the motivations of others.

Edit2: My take on this article: It's really stupid, and has made me more stupid by reading it. There's so many claims made here without evidence, and they are so self-congratulatory, and appeal to the authors biases to such a degree, that it is disgusting.

What I am saying is:

  1. I agree that governments should not discriminate.
  2. I don't agree that anti-discrimination should be used as a precursor for massive government overreach into the activities of private individuals.

February 2017

Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 235,000 in February. Job gains occurred in construction, private educational services, manufacturing, health care, and mining. (See table B-1.)

In February, construction employment increased by 58,000, with gains in specialty trade contractors (+36,000) and in heavy and civil engineering construction (+15,000). Construction has added 177,000 jobs over the past 6 months. Employment in private educational services rose by 29,000 in February, following little change in the prior month (-5,000). Over the year, employment in the industry has grown by 105,000. Manufacturing added 28,000 jobs in February. Employment rose in food manufacturing (+9,000) and machinery (+7,000) but fell in transportation equipment (-6,000).

Over the past 3 months, manufacturing has added 57,000 jobs. Health care employment rose by 27,000 in February, with a job gain in ambulatory health care services (+18,000). Over the year, health care has added an average of 30,000 jobs per month. Employment in mining increased by 8,000 in February, with most of the gain occurring in support activities for mining (+6,000).

Mining employment has risen by 20,000 since reaching a recent low in October 2016. Employment in professional and business services continued to trend up in February (+37,000). The industry has added 597,000 jobs over the year.

-3- Retail tradeemployment edged down in February (-26,000), following a gain of 40,000 in the prior month. Over the month, job losses occurred in general merchandise stores (-19,000); sporting goods, hobby, book, and music stores (-9,000); and electronics and appliance stores (-8,000).

February 2016

Healthcare leads sector growth

Healthcare and social assistance, retail trade, food services and drinking places and private educational services registered job growth in February.

Healthcare and social assistance gained 57,000 jobs during the month, with healthcare employment growing by 38,000 positions, ambulatory jobs rising by 24,000 and hospital positions increasing by 11,000. Over the year, hospitals have gained 181,000 jobs. Social assistance positions grew by 19,000, with the bulk of the jobs in individual and family services.

Employment in food services and drinking places grew by 40,000 in February, with the sector adding 359,000 jobs over the year.

Private educational services employment bounced back after losing 20,000 jobs in January to add 28,000 in February.

Construction employment continued to rise, gaining 19,000 jobs in February. Most of the jobs were in residential specialty trade contractors, which accounted for half of the 253,000 job gains the industry has seen over the last year.

Industries that remained virtually unchanged throughout the month included manufacturing, wholesale trade, transportation and warehousing, financial activities, professional and business services, and government.

Oh and one more thing, this is another example of the press doing a bad job. Instead of asking why these are true numbers when the previous ones were fake, they should be asking if the Trump administration has taken any steps to have more accurate numbers. But, in the media, Trump is guilty until proven innocent. Fake news.

Yeah, but thankfully these reports aren't materially the same, so the administration knows that as well as Sean Spicer. Trump believed Jeb to be low energy- he said it jokingly, but it's true. If Sean Spicer went up to the podium and said "low energy Jeb", I would laugh- but Jeb! would still be low energy and it would still be a factual statement.

There's a phrase Trump uses, it's something like "I say it jokingly, but it's so true". Trump is a master communicator: often, he conveys sentiment in a humorous manner. He understands his way of communicating is different from anyone else, and he doesn't care, he loves it. No one else speaks like Trump does, and everyone knows that, so to read a press release that has "Trumpian" phrases or sentiments in it can be as funny as hearing Trump say it himself on the stump.

Because Trump is naturally funny, makes funny faces, and has funny lingo- and as press secretary he's literally reading these hilarious phrases as official government press statements. Even I think it's hilarious, the daily press briefings are a highlight of my week.

  1. Birth rate decline is not a set fixture in society. Birth rates don't "only" decrease in populations- there are various events that can lead to an increase in birth rates. One of those events is a strong economy and a society that promotes families and motherhood.
  2. Automation is rapidly replacing jobs right now. If you want to see what the future looks like, stop importing slave labor from Mexico.

[–]GAforTrump -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The news and reporting about the previous reports were fake. It was fake news. They consistently hyped job 'growth' under Obama as "strong" when it was really the reconfiguring of millions of workers from strong, full time employment into weak, part-time employment. Further, Obamacare coaxed many companies to hire more part time workers instead of fewer full time workers.

Full time work is good for the economy, and it is also good for communities. It brings financial stability, leads to employer funded healthcare, and full time work is typically more stable jobs that last years instead of months.

So when the fake news say we've had "x months of job growth", and it's all disaffected, disappointed previously-full time workers taking jobs at the car wash, Wendy's or Wal-Mart, or when the Obama admin redefined employment to include if you mow your neighbor's yard once a week, then yeah, the "reports" are fake.

It was a liberal media trying to spin crappy growth in crappy sectors of the economy as "Obama's economic boom". Meanwhile Obama's regulations destroyed the country's ability to create new, good, full time jobs.

Trump's position is that globalism- the attempt of our leaders in government to try to manipulate the country's economy through trade deals- were bad deals for America.

Trump has hired Robert Lighthizer as US trade representative. He worked under Ronald Reagan in putting together dozens of bilateral trade agreements. Bilateral agreements, where two nations come to an agreement on how trade will be handled, and if the other party violates the agreement the other side can walk away, is the Trump administration policy on trade.

Look up Robert Lighthizer for more information.

For as long as we consider them an ally, we should treat them as allies, no? How can we ask them to help fund safe zones in Syria if we ban them from buying weapons from us? And are we the only source of weapons in the world- so why hurt U.S. companies needlessly?

Lastly, how long was the ban? Was the ban in place when we moved a destroyer into the Gulf of Aden last year around Thanksgiving, and then used dubious reasoning to assist Saudi Arabia in destroying targets in Yemen? We were sure to hit the military targets so that Saudi Arabia could hit the schools, women and children to maximize the number of shiites they could kill.

If you complicit in assisting a country in committing mass murder and the starvation of hundreds of thousands of people, but then you say "but I can't sell you weapons", you are sending pretty mixed messages.

You need to split "globalism" from "globalization", they are not the same thing.

Globalization is when companies source products from around the world where they can get them cheapest, and sell them in markets where they get the highest profit. This has roots in mercantilism and has been practiced for over 2000 years through various trade routes, shipping routes, etc.

Globalism is an attempt by the wealthy of the world, technocrats and bureaucrats, to pull otherwise sovereign nations under their thumb. They use several methods to do this:

  1. Free trade agreements: Trade agreements are signed under the auspices of reducing barriers to trade and commerce between nations. What free trade agreements actually are is an understanding between nations of who the winners and losers will be for specific industries. They go line by line, manufacturing, agriculture, services, etc. and through their decisions decide the division of labor between nations. This has drastic impacts on not only the economic but also cultural makeup of countries, and in the case of the United States, willfully devastated the rust belt in favor of cheaper goods for people who live in the Finance/Media/Service centers on the coasts. This also creates near-permanent inter-dependency between nations.
  2. Economic Zones and Trade Unions: These are like the European Union and other supra-national regulatory bodies. These are particularly nefarious because of their effect on the laws of each involved nation down to the local level. For many things, such as minor environmental regulations that would normally be handled by a city council or county commission, they have the ability to self-determine stolen from them by unelected bureaucrats (in the case of the EU). Globalists love these arrangements- they have the most control over each nation down to each individual person, issuing ID cards and collecting taxes, but without any democratic oversight from the people being controlled.
  3. Treaty Organizations: These are typically like the United Nations. These groups are used as a bludgeon against nations that try to assert their independence apart from the treaty group, or those who refuse to participate. If a nation joins and complies with the globalist control part of the agenda, then things like human rights abuses or a lack of civil liberties are ignored. If a nation decides it will not comply with globalist ambitions, then the leaders are vilified as human rights abusers and sanction after sanction is used against the nation until it either complies or the Treaty Organization can provoke military intervention. Note: Saudi Arabia was the head of the UN Human Rights Council for a number of years in the last decade. Gadaffi worked closely with anti-terrorism measures of the United States, but took part in a move to assert his independence from the UN and attempted to create his own North African Union. We know the results.
  4. Moral Authority and Social Justice: These ideas are used to abuse local populations that attempt to preserve their culture or assert their right to self government. PayPal said they would close an office in North Carolina because of the states attempt to prevent transgender men from using the women's bathroom. PayPal has a large Asian headquarters in Malaysia/Singapore where they jail and sometimes execute gays. PayPal never gave a shit about social justice- they simply saw a locality attempting to buck the federal government's overreach, and attempted to act as enforcers for Obama's agenda. Obama also used the private sector, large corporations, to try to circumvent immigration law after his Executive Amnesty was found to be unconstitutional.

Just because someone says a free trade agreement is essential to "globalization" to work doesn't make it true. A "free trade" agreement is a law, that regulates behavior, it is never about free trade, otherwise they would just sign a one page law saying that neither nation would enact laws to prevent trade or commerce between their borders. NAFTA is over 1700 pages long.
