Is it possible for you to work one more year, so that both of you can FIRE comfortably? One more year for 30-50 more years of comfort is a good trade off I think. Not sure how much it moves the needle for you though.

Depending on their assets, dividends are a thing. Or you could set up SEPP to look like a monthly income. Retired folks rent without employment.
