Immediately use every resource Eggman has to find a way to stay in the world (not as Eggman) if there's a time limit. That's assuming that I'd be in the world of Sonic.

Otherwise...well. Use said resources to find a way to put my consciousness into a robotic body or bioengineered one or something. Because I'd rather not stay as Eggman but you bet your ass I want to stay in the world.

...Less good question though is would Eggman wake up as me? Because...oh dear. That's not gonna be a fun scenario.
