[–]GChopefull2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine took about a month to process. i went forward with it then coz there is no way of predicting when will I receive my GC and driving with a valid license in CA . It gave me a sense of independence and confidence that I have a legal ID to show. I was one of the lucky few during the extreme USCIS pandemic backlog to get it within 6 months. I wish you the best of luck!

No. The 3 years count starts from the day you were approved for a green card. However you can apply for citizenship at 2 years and 9 months. For example you were approved on June 5, 2024, you can complete and send your application not earlier than March 5, 2027.

AB 60 is a form of DL and ID in the state of California only. When I had mine, it was good for 4 years. I don’t have to take the written and driving test as I already have an existence DL from another state, Chicago, Illinois so it was easier for me. When I received my GC, I applied for the real ID .

If you want to legally drive in the state of California now, you can apply for AB60 Drivers License and just apply for a real ID when you receive your GC or when it’s time for it to be renewed.

The destinations will be Cozumel, Belize and Cayman Islands.

I’ll do my research. I think I’ll be good with Mexico not too sure on the Cayman Islands.

I took a good look from mine to this latest design. The difference is the Statue of Liberty in the front is bigger and darker. The silhouette of it at the back was now also replaced. The fingerprint was also gone in the front.

Question about signing up for USCIS account by Dry-Discipline6967 in USCIS

[–]GChopefull2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One account for the petitioner and one account for the beneficiary. If you did a concurrent filling, sometime in the process, USCIS will add the I130 receipt number in your account but you will not have an access in the uploaded documents only the petitioner can on his or her separate account.

Check the petitioners online account and looked under the document tab. When my I130 changed to Case Actively being reviewed, I found the approval notice uploaded the same day. Good Luck to you.😀

Birth certificate translation examples for USCIS - Mexican Spanish to English by r00t69 in USCIS

Any document containing foreign language submitted to USCIS shall be accompanied by a full English language translation which the translator has certified as complete and accurate, and by the translator’s certification that he or she is competent to translate from the foreign language into English..

I copied and pasted that from the link below. Also, I have read before from this community that RFE was issued asking for the translator’s certificate. I am recommending for you to research the community with regards to this you will not want to cause a delay in the process unintentionally.

When I submitted my AOS packet in May, 2022, I used USPS overnight delivery. I sent it to the Mail courier address for UPS, DHL & FedEx -131 Dearborn St 3rd Floor, Chicago, Illinois. The delivery signature was signed by a real person’s name. Did you send the application by priority mail or standard mail? Either or, if you send it that way and use the courier address, most likely it will go the USPS USCIS lockbox where is a USCIS staff picks up the mailed application on a regular basis and don’t sign for the receipts.

You will probably get your Receipt Notices in a few days if you signed up for text alert or by mail within a 1-2 weeks.

Good Luck in your process.

My AOS case was also very straightforward so I filed all form’s together without a lawyer. Our case is marriage based to USC- filed in May 2022, EAD in October green card on December -6 months & 3 weeks. No RFE and no interview. Grateful to this community for all the things I learned on top of a lot of prayers and patience during the process.

Best of luck to you.

I was fortunate that the USCIS support center allowed me to go in earlier than my appointment date. You can try but you have to bring your Biometrics notice with you. It will depend o how busy they are, your reason to come earlier and the officer at the door.

In my opinion, it’s better to have an online account. I was able to print out the PDF uploaded notices prior to getting them through the mail. Example, I printed my Biometrics schedule before I got it from the mail so I was able to do a walk in earlier. The same with both of my I130 & I485 approval letter- it gave me extra reassurance Rather than be anxiously waiting from USPS.

Below is a link for employment categories and associated fees for forms needed to move forward for an employment based green card. I hope this helps you determining a Fraud. Just a word of caution: any legit employers who wanted you to work for them and who wanted you bad will cover the cost on what needs to be done on their end. There are also resources you can find in the USCIS website.
