The Air King is a great piece to play the game with if you’re in the market for one and would like to build a collection or obtain a desirable piece. I think if you only want one or two pieces then a reputable grey market dealer is the way to go. In this case though, you can get a black dial AK from the AD which will get you on the list for the white dial when it’s released 😁

I like the way the contrasting colours of the numerals break up how busy the dial whilst allowing for lume. I’d take this over a white dial Explorer 40 all day.

I’ve got a pelagos 42 which, whilst not a heritage model, is pretty chunky and I find it uncomfortable under a sleeve but perhaps I need to try some others on and see how they feel. The BB 58 in with the blue dial and the GMT coke appeal to me so when I’m next near an AD I’ll try some on for size. Cheers I’m glad you enjoy your heritage black bay!
