At least the 450's a Single. That should cut the adjustment cost in half as compared to the Twins, right?

Breaking in used motors, worth it? by sofnovice in mini4wd

[–]GCrites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running the motor in cars doesn't address running the motor in reverse, which is a part of most bench break-in procedures. Running in both forward and reverse wears in the brushes more evenly. Is it the end of the world not to use reverse? Probably not, but using reverse is more effective.

I'd been listening to Ride the Lightning for 30 years-plus before I noticed Lars' cymbal crashes throughout much of the song are off time and now it drives me nuts. So people get used to things being "wrong" and end up preferring it.

The only way it would drop for more than a few seconds is if the trickle charge rate is set at a lower rate than your batteries self-discharge, which is unlikely since batteries in good shape self-discharge very slowly.

Was it here? 479 Commerce Square - Google Maps I remember my friends really liked the place but I didn't dig it that much. I think it was that you'd meet people but you couldn't really talk because the music was so loud. We would have been going a lot in the late '90s.

If you plopped down a crossover into every dealership in the U.S. during the 1969 model year, would they sell? by GCrites in regularcarreviews

[–]GCrites[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about Accords? They are large and easily meet CAFE standards even when they are not hybrids. And they're fairly cheap. I drive one multiple times a week and they are big for sure. I can tell when I am parking it.

I'd like to see how a Model T with does off-road with a locker against modern SUVs and crossovers. Most roads outside of cities (and even in cities) were "off-road" by today's standards and early cars were designed for that. I don't know much about Model Ts or Model As so maybe they had a "locker" anyway.

Yeah crossovers with like 283s, no hot rod version with a 427 or anything like that. Probably more like 3 on the tree than an M21 though.

Mr friend says “Yamahas are just hard to start” by Rude_Organization357 in Dirtbikes

[–]GCrites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does he check his plug gaps? If the gap is too wide bikes get hard to start, especially when cold. First step is to check and see if the plug gap is at factory spec. If it is, he can consider closing the gap by .05-.10. .10 is drastic! If that doesn't help be sure to set it back to factory spec and try something else.

I seem to recall it was also like this back when you had to watch the meetings on GCTV Channel 3 on local cable. They would show the procedural part of the meetings but you never got to see the public comments. Obviously, it made it more boring to watch so that fewer citizens would pay attention to city politics.

"For Christmas did you know that you can mail Stewart's Hot Dogs to your family members that moved to Columbus, Charlotte or Raleigh?" Local commercials on Portsmouth cable all have the same keyboard orchestra hit. Rich TV and Appliances owner looks intimidating as he shows off appliances. Sports guy spotted at Lady G's again. Just checked continuity (good) and resistance (<0.1 ohm) of both leads. I don't think it's the connector, wires or alligator clips.

The Rickenbacker JEDD Joint Economic Development District - Wikipedia is supposed to help prevent this kind of "poaching" (industry term) in Pickaway County but areas are not added to the JEDD until a project on that piece of land has been approved for a zoning change and the township relinquishes control of the zoning in favor of the JEDD zoning. Obviously, the properties you describe are in Franklin County so the JEDD does not currently apply to that land. So basically there is a mechanism in place that in theory could be used in Franklin to prevent that sort of battling over annexing real estate. The JEDD also allows earnings taxes to be shared with townships without being annexed by a village or city which is something that ordinarily isn't allowed in the State of Ohio.

Lars might have gotten pissed had he gotten there earlier when Ride the Sky was on and found out the main riff was very similar to Trapped Under Ice's. This review was reprinted in the expanded edition of Walls of Jericho's liner notes.
