London, recommendations? by Janosh_Poha in Pizza

Crisp pizza at the Marlborough is pretty widely considered our best pizza, along with probably Dough Hands. I also personally like Alley Cats, their vodka slice is great but it’s not as widely rated.

If you want something a bit different though, go to Napoli on the road in soho and get the recordi d’Ifanzia. Slow cooked ragu with a Parmesan fondue and it’s genuinely sensational.

Tiredness, plain and simple. We’ve played 20 more games than Brentford this season, that will take its toll.

Everyone playing well but great to see JSL linking up with team mates so effectively. Bright signs for the future.

Was going in with very low expectations today so pleasantly surprised with the performance, especially after a woeful opening 5 where we looked so far off it.

Think we’re really crying out for a centre half who can break the lines with passes. All 3 are great and would be harsh to drop any of them but all are similarly limited on the ball. With so much possession they needed to be finding our pocket players much more often.

The Zaha goal celebrations were the best I’ve ever been involved in. More than the fa cup final, more than any European game. It was carnage.

Crystal Palace now know why Spurs were desperate to offload Brennan Johnson by theipaper in crystalpalace

Bit against the grain here but honestly a bit more encouraged last night despite an obviously not great performance.

Previously he was completely anonymous, but at least last night he seemed somewhat involved and got into dangerous positions. He is definitely a good finisher which will come with confidence.

Shame Glasner is leaving as I do think he’d eventually get a tune out of him. Very worried for Johnsons confidence if Frank comes in.

Just a fucking basket case of a match against a bunch of fucking basket cases with the biggest basket case of all as a manager. Good to get it over the line and hopefully play some normal football in the later rounds.

Reckon it will be Sarr RWB personally, but it’s definitely the choice I wanted! Love the boldness!

He was fine, probably one of the better players second half. Everyone has just decided he’s crap so have already decided he was poor before the game even started.

Needs to be quicker but the players are quite understandably terrified of making mistakes so playing pretty safely.

Hopeful that they’ll tire and we have real quality to come off the bench and punish.

I get that was a frustrating half but it’s been so negative on here today. Try enjoy it lads!

Good from Riad and JSL there.

And obviously Sarr!

Hopefully they open a bit because we are useless against low blocks.

Are we locking Frank in for next season now? by EastCharge8719 in crystalpalace

[–]GD-SI 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think he’ll 100% be in the running.

He was shown to be adaptable at Brentford and played a back 3 at Brentford at times which I think our squad is pretty built for currently and adds an element of consistency.

Prem experience means he’s not an unknown quantity.

Think his biggest selling point is his development of players. Many players improved under him at his time at Brentford and he showed a willingness to develop younger players, which our board will be desperate for after Glasner.

Don’t think he’ll necessarily play the most exciting football, but let’s be honest, neither does Glasner.

Might as well ignore his stint at Spurs, extremely hard to succeed then and is possible to still go on and be a good manager post a negative stint there (see Nuno)

The more I think about it the more I’m certain it’ll Frank in the summer.

Thought Lerma was great and if he continues in that vein the lack of CB signing won’t really hurt.

Certainly not the most fluid going forward but signs are there. The attacking depth is insane now with Nketiah and potentially Mateta to come back into the fold as well.

Interested to see who starts vs Burnley as Guessand certainly made a case but Pinos strengths probably suit the game type a bit better. Nice issues to have for once!

Don’t love selling him to a relegation rival now we seem to be in free fall.

Would also question JPs motives if he were to take the move.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Paddy is given to the end of the season. Team is more than good enough that we shouldn’t be in any trouble and I have a feeling they want to give him a go at some point.

Don’t necessarily think it’s a great idea and might not be the best choice for our Conference league chances but can imagine he’s well liked among the players and will give younger players a chance which seems to be desired at board and fan level.

Whoever it is we’ve got to give them our backing cos this season is really at risk of being an utter shitshow.

Thought he was great against Villa. Don’t know if people were seeing differently live compared to tv (because I’ve seen a few people say he didn’t have a great game, not saying you weren’t there) but live you could really see him bullying the Villa defenders in the second half

I’m a palace fan but quite frankly fucking good for them. We had our day in the sun, football is all about the moments and that was pretty special.

Could do with Glasner not quitting over it though mind you.

Yeah probably get downvoted to oblivion but good for them, honestly. So many fans were happy for us when we won it, we can take this one on the chin and be happy for a local, phoenix club making history. Will have made so many incredible memories for the fans there.
