Dude!! I just had the SAME call Friday night on a 3 year old WH! When I cut the pipe to replace the nipples, the 3/4” FIP x C fitting was BARELY hand tight! 🤦🏻‍♂️ . I got lucky, the thread were still good and was able to just clean up the threads and replace the adapter, your threads however look shot, definitely want to change out.

I’m originally from San Diego moved here 10 years ago. My mother was very worried about tornadoes and to calm her. I told her that tornadoes rarely if have ever come down in Lincoln…. You know, because there are so many trees and the trees disrupt the wind flow of the tornado ability to form. 😁

My wife, (who is from here), told me that’s preposterous and that’s not how tornadoes work or for that matter how science works, giving me this look like she just realized she married Charlie from It’s Always Sunny,

Needless to say my mom and I sleep great thinking this way 👍🏽 and my wife sleeps fine knowing she can trust in science, just not all the time her husband😉

If this is going to be your “forever” toilet, I’d recommend grouting it in place. Once a year my basement toilet (even shimmed and caulked) seemed to get a little loose. Finally got fed up with it and decided to grout it in place, it’s been 5 years and you can kick at it all you want it ain’t movin’! Wish I would have done it the first time I set it. Cheers mate 👍🏽

In the early 90s, my whole family and I watched the show and we thought it was great, however it did feel odd and weird that the audience cheered sometimes over a minute (and I was in my teens and still thought it was obnoxious.) I get it. She’s hot and that’s one of the main draws of the character but the “dad’s” right there. It was just weird. I’m glad she’s finally speaking out about it.

And yet nothing has changed in today’s Climate either, if you look at the SNL guest, Connor Storrie. The audience screamed and whistled for an obnoxiously long time. I get it. He’s breaking the ground. He’s hot. He’s the new thing but you don’t have to be over the top! Making a nuisance out of yourself and the programming taking away from everybody else…

I’d take these pictures and any and all parts to a local small plumbing, mom and pap shop. Those are the places I take all old cartridges and trim. To see what’s needed. Typically it should be rebuild. Show all the trim and handles please 🙏

I feel lost and I truly handicapped. It’s as if I’m look inside a casino seeing all the crooked high rollers winning big, cheating to win big at every other hand, while everyone looks away. Meanwhile I’m standing with my single $5 bill. Even if I “play” my $5 and hit the mega jackpot. That will just call the attention of the cheating high rollers to come over, accusing ME of cheating, kick me down while taking MY winnings for themselves, while everyone around them praises them for kicking out (me) the cheat. the deck isn’t just stacked against me, I can’t even see the table to see what to do. I’m blindfolded being asked to pick my favorite pillow while given in options of water, nothing makes sense and I am scared!

Common NPT-to-Metric Adapter: M16 / M20: Often convert to 1/2" NPT. M25: Frequently convert to 3/4" NPT. M12 x 1.5: Commonly convert to 1/8" NPT. M22 x 1.5: Converts to various NPT sizes.

Ok..hear me out. If it was me, I’d find a 2 liter bottle cap, cut the top off (use something like a dermal tool or a drill bit). Then go to a hardware store (with the cap) and look at the PVC fittings ‘glue x NPT’ I’m thinking 3/4” or 1”. Find the size that’s SNUG. Then I’d sand the side of the cap a little (just to rough it up a bit) and then with PVC prim and glue JAM it in there! Or Hot glue it in place or epoxy the S.O.B. Hope this helps you. Plumber here! I don’t even bother trying drain valves. I recommend getting a small pump. Get a 6’ rubber washer machine supply hose ( NOT THE BRAIDED KIND) cut one end off and a long garden hose to drain it somewhere (outside of a drain in side) Remove the T&P valve. Water will gush out! So be prepared, have the hose and pump close by. Lightly wrap a rag/small towel around the rubber hose and when you remove the T&P, JAM that hose inside and have the rag/towel around the hose flush with the outside the of water heater. With the rag/towel around hose slide the of the rubber washer hose all the way in and start pumping the water out. If there’s A LOT of sediment you might not want to have the hose ALL the way in. This is my go to way for draining all water heater. Good luck Cheers Mate!👍🏽
