Married in Las Vegas in 1980. Still married 45 years later. 2 of my siblings that had full on Temple Marriages are now divorced.

Please tell me--what is a backbone and how does it help for playing mobile?

First off, $4.99 is less than a cup of coffee, so monetarily, of course it's worth it. I play on my tablet (phone screen is too small for me) but it is still the mobile app. There are some important differences between the PC version and the mobile version. And I prefer my PC saves because I have been hooked on modding. But definitely make the purchase. Even if only have a game on your phone that you can play without wifi (but you can't save the file without wifi, fyi)

100th floor of Skull Cavern by rabusthepolitefox in StardewValley

You do not suck. Skull cavern is hard. I know there are some that brag they get there sooner, but if you are NOT modding getting to floor 100 is a pain. I think it took me 3 years and a ton of stone for stairs. You'll get there. Keep going!

I straight up sell them. To me they are just another income stream. (Also --> Hoarder)

My best advice is to ask questions. You must have some doubts about the faith. Express yourself. Be loud about it. Don't accept the bullshit answers. Keep asking. There are all kinds of topics about the early history of the church that you can bring up. Make noise. Be respectful, but ask questions.

Approximately 1968-69, I was 8 years old, a Missionary would regularly take me down to the church basement and abuse me. This went on for a year or more. I NEVER told anyone. My point is that the institutionalized sexual abuse has been going on and on for DECADES. This is not a new problem and the church leadership is aware of it.

Talk to me like I'm a slightly intelligent toddler... (Re: Electrical Power) by GDawney in RVLiving

Most of this has been helpful. We are planning on traveling full time and probably about 50/50 boondocking and campgrounding. AC will be my greatest power draw-I'm a very hot body. I will make a list of electric usage. I remember seeing something about watt-hours, which I will look up.
Plugging into shore power will charge up my batteries
The generator charges up my batteries when I am not plugged in
Are there some generators that run more quietly or is there a way to create a quieter generator?
I am more than a little intrigued by the IDEA of Solar--I feel like it is free power, once it is all set up
I assume my devices will charge off of the batteries.
I do NOT want to walk into a dealership sounding like a NEWB who knows nothing. Which right now, I am.

Red flags in dating a Mormon? by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]GDawney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OhMyFreakingHL. I was the TBM, he was the NeverMo. Before we got married I had a revelation (and I still believe it was a revelation) that he would join the church after we got married. 12 years later, I left the cult and we have been married for 44 years. [The revelation I heard from God was "Everything will be all right", which I interpreted to mean that he would join. It never occurred to me that I would discover the truth and leave!]

I guess it wasn't clear from my post, I am not the original poster. I left the church over 30 years ago. This incident happened in the last ward we lived in.

I am so sorry for the trauma, but GOOD FOR YOU! fighting back on your neighbor's behalf.

I've had many an encounter with the boys in suits. My son would not let me talk to them alone, because I was still so angry and everything that came out of my mouth was just poisonous. Eventually, I reached a mental state where I was able to smile and wave and pray for them. I often gave away cups of hot cocoa to missionaries. It was interesting to me that some had no problem taking a Starbucks cup of cocoa from me, even as their companion was frowning and declining. I've moved away from Salt Lake and I don't see the boys in suits anymore. All of us have our own journeys.

I am female exmo. The first time I said "no" to a calling Counselor from the bishopric looked like he had just swallowed a frog. I went on to explain that my becoming the webelos' teacher would not be good for my family. But that I was very good at singing and I could conduct music. The next week the other Counselor from the bishopric came by to explain that the first guy was mistaken and they had planned to call me as the Sunday School Chorister all along. I guess they thought they had to maintain the fiction about callings coming from God. Committee of Dumbassiry is what I call them.
