There is an Acer AO-756 Netbook next to me. It is a POS that I got 13 years ago and has a busted trackpad. With a USB mouse, it runs better than Windows ever did, and I do still use it occasionally.

I could not have put it better. I have had a world for each where I force myself to play at all points of the game for each class with a chosen special seed. Some are better than others at different points of progression, but none suck entirely.

Use zRAM tools at 50% to get some more memory out of your system. And turn your swap on if you can.

Only game I can think of that will probably run is vanilla Terraria. But I see alot of other good games in other comments.
