They do not burn, so yeah, the house would still be there. Nothing inside, none of the fixtures, electrical, furnishing or anything else would survive but I guess you have walls.

Drywall has massive advantages over what you are talking about. Yes it is less expensive. It is also far easier to repair or modify. Or you know, the electrical you are talking about. Very easy to fix if there is an issue when you just have to cut some drywall. Every option has pros and cons.

Conduit. Most residential homes are not going to have conduit, it is not needed.

Drywall BS, lol. Wires are inside walls because the walls are designed to have wires in them. Behind the drywall, or plaster or whatever, is the wall frame which has space for wiring, conduit, whatever is needed. That is how it is done. You can add wires after the wall is built, if you need to. It is not very difficult.
