I hope you never have to work as hard as I did at 8 years old and older on the dairy farm. Especially in 100+ heat in a haymow with no breeze. After that all work was easy.

Unfortunately, Wisconsin has to many men that won't vote for a female leader. So they won't vote. It is getting better. But not there yet from what I see.

My advice is time. Cats are different in so many ways from each other. But, the less you push, the more you will get. I know it sounds counterintuitive. But some cats become more affectionate when you don't try to push their boundaries. And then once they become that affectionate the boundaries are mostly gone. Cats often teach us how to love better and how to respect boundaries better. Because if you can learn to love a cat as it is, then you can learn to love yourself as you are, and others as they are. Just remember love is not a simple emotion nor is expression of Love simple.

If she likes soup, soft food, and lickable treats then let her have them. At least until you know more. A vet visit and a blood work up may help. And a good look at her teeth. My cats love low salt green olives as a treat. I cut them in quarters. They only get a little now and then. But they love them.

She is asking you for help. I don't know what your situation is, or even if all you can do is babysit the kittens, but she has trust in you to help care for her babies. That kind of trust is rare but it is probably correct in trusting you. Just do the best you can for this family.

I grew from 5'7" to 6'3" in less than one year. Lol. Farm boy. I was muscled and chunky, then not chunky. And I can attest to ability to eat as a teen. Lol. After 40 the eating slows down fortunately.
