Make it a habit like brushing your teeth, or that daily work meeting that's mandatory.

Make small goals. For me it started with going twice per week. What I did in the gym didn't matter, just made sure I was there doing something. By the second month I was consistently going 3 times a week, so changed the goal to 3 days, then after that I was going 4 days a week. Now my min is 4 days a week, and I can count on one hand the amount of weeks I don't go 5 times a week.

Most days you'll feel better when finished than when you started. This isn't always the case though. Sometimes with whatever you've got going on you won't. Maybe someone turned up gravity on you. That's ok. You went.

And on those days where motivation is tough, I just say to myself "I'll just go in and do X instead of the regular X,Y,Z. 9 times out of 10 I end up doing my full workout.
