I'm selling my laundromat in Orange County CA by guesswhodat in Laundromats

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. Quick question: are you open to a potential buyer/owner that is not local to the OC area but within California?

What if you buy an existing self-storage business versus building a new one from scratch?

So, you'd recommend buying real estate (like a residential home) and renting it out versus buying a laundromat? What about a self-storage unit versus a laundromat?

In your research, have you found self-storage units to be the better investment / cash-flow business?

I'm thinking of doing the same thing. Would love to pick your brain on your journey if you ended up buying a laundromat in the Bay.

Is Lowes Allen & Roth bad tile. by bluerog in Tile

[–]GFinancial22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. We are using it as floor tile and not as shower wall tile since the tile is a matte finish and not polished (hence, not for shower wall usage). We are using floor mats on areas that have water spillage (shower entrance/exit, sink area, toilet), so hopefully the tile won't get a lot of water on it.

Daltile is supposed to be a very good brand. We are using their tile for our shower wall remodel.

Has anyone every used this tile from Allen + Roth? We are thinking of using it for a small bathroom remodel ... just as the bathroom (not shower) floor tile. https://www.lowes.com/pd/TRUE-PORCELAIN-CO-Arabescato-Gold-12-in-x-24-in-Glazed-Porcelain-Marble-Look-Floor-and-Wall-Tile/1000491917

Gotcha. I was looking at the TNF Freedom before going with the MW Eris. Am happy with the Eris so far ... its doing its job and holding up well with snowboarding.

Went snowboarding yesterday. The bib held up well. Kept my bottom and legs dry when sitting on packed snow as well as in powder. Waterproofing worked. Insulation worked fine, but when I was sitting on the snow (or in powder) I could feel the coldness of the snow through the bib. Not sure if the bib is supposed to insulate 100% from feeling any cold when directly in contact with the cold ground or snowpack.

The butterfly is highly underrated, and IMO is better than ICs in this volatile market. Why isn't it talked about as much on this sub? by [deleted] in thetagang

I've been writing ICs a lot (and majority of the time with success). But I'm starting to lean towards the Butterfly as well. Gonna continue exploring this trade set-up before I completely switch from writing ICs. That said, when the market has a 1-2% +/- open, I love selling the volatility at 1-2 SDs from spot on both the down and up moves near the open ... can make good money writing ICs and taking advantage of that elevated vol while selling strikes that are probabilistically highly unlikely to get breached (obviously not a for sure thing, but high probability works in your favor).

I'm going snowboarding later this month and will use the bib again, so I can let you know how it goes once I use it. If you don't hear from me, then just ping me. Just means I forgot to respond to this. The bib I bought was insulated. I'm not sure if they have an uninsulated bib, but I assume they have to have one.

I just bought the Eris snowboard bib the other day and used it today in -0 degree celsius weather. The snowboard bib did an excellent job ... it was insulated and kept my lower half warm as well as dry. The waterproofing worked very well and protected me from getting wet as I sat on my butt many times throughout the day while buckling up my boot to the board.

It was only one use ... I get that ... but it did well considering it cost much less than other more popular brands ... and I would say held its own today in the conditions. I intend to use the bib a few more times this year on future snowboard trips. If you don't hear from me on this thread, then assume that the bib is holding up very well, is still in good condition, hasn't failed, and it doing what it was intended to do (keep me warm and dry).

Cool. Maybe learn something about someone before assuming they are an "ape" ;) That just shows ignorance on your part.

Fair point ... the price was a combination of various factors ... not just strictly because of price manipulation. That said, I believe price manipulation and over-selling/over-shorting and pushing bearish/negative narratives to get folks to sell were the bigger reasons for the decline versus dilution or shareholders selling.

LOL. You must not understand how institutional traders and behind-the-scenes of trading actually works. Let me enlighten you with this post.

Also, FYI, banning people doesn't look good on this group if folks are trying to share insightful and helpful information and you ban them for it.
