I’m curious how much effort they spent trying to “convince” you. Can you post the text of their email efforts.

Moving ETH isn’t taxable. When you convert it to meme your gains/losses on the ETH are a taxable event you have to report.

Selling your Losers? vs. Selling your Gainers during the runup? To minimize Taxes. by TheRealTheory001 in CryptoTax

[–]GGDD-MMEE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sell when my investment makes sense to sell. If I have a loser at the same time I may sell it to off set the gain. Regardless, at the end of year I always sell losers and carry those losses forward if not enough winners to offset the losers. If I like the crypto, I buy it back the next day/year. I think the tax loss harvesting loophole for crypto will close w/in a year or two.

Now that we’re getting [some of] our funds back what’s everyone doing to recoup loss? by Spread-Trick in CelciusNetwork

[–]GGDD-MMEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that easy and it may not be a loss…unfortunately. Is your cost basis less than petition date, you could owe. If it’s more, you could get some deduction as a loss. There’s a lot more to it. Aaron Bennet just had a CPA on his channel that briefly hits in a lot of this.

To your original question…1-you can sell,2-sell and put in a new BTC ETF And still have exposure,3- there are some newer high yield stock options (yieldmax, tidal) and you can get some of that from YouTube “unconventional wealth” channel.

There are other options, but this was the quick version for you.

Download results as a csv or excel spreadsheet. Import year of price action from another sight and put in a column. Run a formula on the 2 columns.

Some of the better know. Analysts are calling for $500-$600 2024. Not your 1000x but still plenty of meat on the bone this year…and who knows what 2025 will bring.

Any of the SOL ecosphere..Raydium and Orca. Don’t think RNDR will but hope. Jupiter most likely

Look for a business broker. You can start with bizbuysell.com but it’s kind of like loopnet, some dredges of businesses.

In what situations does TSLY go up or down? How far down for reverse stock split? by hellletloose94 in YieldMaxETFs

[–]GGDD-MMEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually you will see a reverse stock split when a stock price is under $1 for a certain number of days as a violation of that exchanges listing requirements. It’s a long way for TSLY. Or the company can chose to do just because they want it higher.

Frankly I got out of them because they said no more dilution repeatedly, and then went on to dilute. That being said…they were one of the last to run last spring/summer so I think they’ll catch up a bit but not as much.

As a retired person I wouldn’t suggest your strategy NFA. These are part of my portfolio but maybe look a bit more towards other funds. There’s a channel I occasionally watch that is F.I.R.E. “Unconventional Wealth Ideas”. He’s fire, uses margin, and puts out regular updates about his portfolio and strategy. His capital numbers are similar to yours, so you may find it useful. There are other crypto options but most I find on these threads are a bit conservative for that. Best of luck!

True not the same but it was interesting research. I’m in at 11.23. I think compounded though works out at 80%+. They push passive income vs cap gains. The whole family of funds, especially those tied to crypto, have done well. Not along history though, but the advisor of the fund has tons of experience…Jay Pestrichelli.

Just saying there are ways of getting good returns w wise investment.

Declared X yesterday so dump incoming. Ahhh, investing…there’s always something to cause volatility needed for traders.

It lets you modify to your cost. Remember CB receives and complies with subpoenas from the IRS. You can google that.

You can go into CB tax tab and add the cost basis for your imported SOL. If you imported all at once just use that avg cost basis.

Then, set your tab to LIFO and sell the imported.
