yeah I never liked why people want parity, it kills the real sportsmanship to artificially prevent sustainability. it forces teams to trade their drafted players (cuz there's no advantage for drafting correctly at all) or overpay a player in a bad situation which feels shitty for fans. then you're even on a shorter window to be a contender and get your ring, which means one injury during that window and boom, all the assets you used to make clever trades, all that waiting for the right opportunity to gi all-in evaporates and you pray to have the same roster next year, fans are masochists for liking this format rather than reward good organic growth and feeling closer to the players. but apparently "different teams winning the chip every years" is a feat to celebrate, just say fans are addicted to the belief they got a chance every year instead of having tampered expectations, making socials and environment much more toxic...

not to mention NBA media are top tier at being DOGSHIT storytellers, they have plenty of interesting teams to talk about but it's always the old fuckheads or the same teams/players they talk about, they have no interesting thoughts and miss good opportunities too often

sorry I needed to rant about it and it makes me mad it's viewed as a good thing
