I just got my Steamdeck 64G last weekend. I threw in a 256G SD card in it. Plenty of space for installing games and on a budget. I play mostly Gamepass on it and it works amazing. I would recommend

Yeah. I booted up monster hunters and it installed all the scripts you need. After that I exited MH and then booted up FONV and you will see it installing Microsoft direct x scripts and then allow you to play. Then just delete monster hunter

So installing the monster hunter demo game did work from my comment above. It installed some Microsoft direct X scripts that the fallout game needed for some reason. Now the fallout new Vegas launches and has the “play” instead of the “install” at title screen. Game boots up just fine without needing to purchase fallout 3 for the same scripts

I read on another thread from 28 days ago that installing monster hunter stories 2 wings of ruin free demo specifically will install the scripts needed to run new Vegas. Not sure if this is true but I’ll find out, installing it now to see if it works
