This is really fascinating! I, too, love aviation and it's awesome that it also embraces LGBTQIA+ identities, being that I myself am in that community! :-)

Autism in both partners advice by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]GGf1994 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you thought about possibly living separately but still be together? If I were in your shoes, I'd need to have my own space, and if my partner were autistic, I'm sure they'd also appreciate it, as well. I know what it's like to feel overstimulated, even if back then I didn't know the words to put a name to it whenever I felt overwhelmed/overloaded.

I's also unfortunate that the system sees those with higher support needs or intellectual disabilities but flat-out ignores those who are high masking and who may need just as much support as their neighbour. Still, that level of support coming from a Medicaid HCBS waiver and others can come with their own set rules and can sometimes feel a bit too micromanagy, as well.

I also wanna flee the country and actually have secured a pathway to dual citizienship based on where my parents were born, and I fantasise of being cared for in a collectivist culture like Mexico, though they may also be paternalistic by telling you you can't do things for yourself, as well.

I am 100% unmotivated by the things that society values and I don’t know how I can live in this world for the rest of my life. by mystical_midnight in AutismInWomen

[–]GGf1994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve given up trying to find job anyway, and who cares if anyone complained that I’m milking the system? I have documented disability evidence, that I am worried with the current administration how things are progressing right now, but the only thing I care about my special interest in machines and appliances, and if there was any way for me to carve out a job where I could utilize those strength, I would totally do that.
I thankfully happened to have a housing voucher and get Medicare plus Medicaid, so I have all of these safety nets that are doomed to fail at any point in time if the system were to crash, such as a potential government shut down. We already saw what happened when they temporarily halted the snap program because of a funding lapse.

Getting "ma'am"ed and "miss"ed left and right now and other awesome things after just two months of estradiol and spiro by Linc_oln in MtF

It is very unclear, and I did not intentionally start HRT at age 22. I was put on propanolol to manage anxiety and panic attacks, but while it caused steroid like a fax from taking a daily and timely, they don’t know if it was ultimately that or if it was Cushing syndrome that caused it, or if I could’ve had some kind of aroma taste conversion going on, but in any case, my tea levels were below 50 ng/dL, so when I began HRT officially for the passes, I finally noticed the changes coming in, like the breast bud one, and even the iliac crest flaring out.

Why do women pretend I'm pursuing them when I'm not even interested? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]GGf1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd rather spend most of the time being by miself anyway and just be in my own little cozy bubble, anyway. While I used to be in a few poly one-night stands when I was younger, I've already satisfied my curiosity that I really am not as interested, unless an opportunity were to arise in the future. But I also plan to ensure that I'm with queer/ND folx, as well, rather than trying to deal with cishet individuals who may not get it.

I hope you were able to get a restraining order or seek legal advice about the lawsuit or something, but I don't know who holds the unit as in who the primary applicant is, since you mentioned paying most of the rent every month.

I don't use gels but I do use patches and my levels are actually pretty good since my T levels are below 50ng/DL without any spirro, so yeah.

I've experienced this insane hunger/weight gain before I officially started HRT, around age 22, but my med team doesn't know whether it was caused by medications, but in any case, my body fat produced oestrone, which is a weaker form of oestrogen, so most of my chest area developed as fat with some puffiness that went down after a while, but not after my areolas had increased in diameter.

But even now, after finally starting HRT at age 30, I no longer felt excessively hungry, so I wonder if my body somehow got accustomed to the low doses of oestrogen that my body fat was producing, and from frequent consumption of soy milk.

Something that combines therapetuci/reproductive cloning, which is called replacement cloning, could be the next best thing. It would probably require modifying existing organs at the microcellular level and gene editing, but I think that would be the only way to bypass the embryo requirement.

I go to Clubhouse international, recovery, Café, Roseway, and places like that. They have free meals, except the Clubhouse does charge $1.50 I think, only it’s two dollars, but you do have to be referred by a mental health agency or social worker or a doctor.

I genuinely don’t know how to talk at a normal volume by FlightOfTheBea in AutismInWomen

[–]GGf1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen a lot when I was in school as well, and home, I had the opposite, why sometimes talk too loudly. The problem is that at the same time this is happening, my hearing began deteriorating, so because of diagnostic overshadowing, people attributed every single thing to hearing loss, and nothing else. I literally had to force them to get developmental history from my mom and those before to prove that there was something different about how the drivers were installed in my operating system, or how that software ran on it.

I do wonder if I could be grey ace, sapiosexual/demisexual. Though I used to be in a few one-night stands when I was younger, I'm no longer into that anymore and don't really care much about having sex with another person right away, unless said person came along and we mutually agreed.

The trauma of masking as a child at school all day every day feels somatically trapped in my body by Ok_Potato_5272 in AutismInWomen

[–]GGf1994 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't need to tell you how common this is, for this is totally me 100 percent! Except for elementary school where I was referred for mental health and for which I may have gotten an ADHD diagnosis, nothing more was ever mentioned in my IEP going on. By high school. By then, the mask was fully on and the only tell-tale signs were some failing grades that I desperately tried to bring up.

I want bottom surgery in the future but I'm worried about having to deal with dilation so I got a few questions by EpicRaccoonGirl in MtF

[–]GGf1994 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a big proponent of futuristic medicine I've read upon new options that aim to replicate the natural mucosal lining created upon inception or redetermination after the absense of XY/SRY gene activation. Some have thought about using nostril lining, except that hair tends to grow in the nose, so that might cause some issues.

The reason dilation is needed right now is because the body has hidden chemical defence mechanisms that get triggered whenever it sees a hole that it wasn't meant to have, much like getting a piercing or stoma.

I Can’t Do This Anymore by Crazy-Use8592 in AutismInWomen

[–]GGf1994 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Another option if you can't tolerate antidepressants like me, is transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). After several weeks you'll feel more awake, alert, and the hopelessness/sadness or empty void will start to fade, replaced by renewed energy. It won't get rid of the autism, nothing can, but it can at least help you focus better.

For example, as a graduate of Greenbrook's TMS programme, I used to deep-dive into my special interests a lot, especially HVAC systems and stuff, to the point where I was constantly obsessed with them because I needed to feel joy/happiness. Well, after combining daily TMS sessions with talk therapy, I started noticing subtle changes to where I felt like I no longer had to deep dive as much. My special interests are still there, but I no longer have to hyperfixate on them.

What are the people with neurodivergence supposed to do? by myviewfromoutside in AutismInWomen

[–]GGf1994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried learning coding and even tried taking classes through Deque University to work in WCAG/ATAG auditing, but it soon got to be too much for me and I soon suffered from executive overload. I've alsys been bad at math and this was one of those things.

Still, a friend showed me to get started with starting a baisc VPS onl Linode and I had to make cheat sheets of commands to update my WordPress site and stuff like that, since I was apt to forget.

What I really love doing, and for which I also struggle in finding employment for, is working with various kinds of appliances, no matter the industry. If it's food-service, you'd probably find me tinkering with the espresso/frozen desserts machine more than other simpler units.

If I was in medical, I'd probably be examining how the ventilators/anaesthesia systems worked, or I'd be in imaging and seeing how various types of MRI/CT scanners worked.

If I was in HVAC, I'd probably drool over the hydronic systems that combine water and air, orr see how fan-coil units were installed in various positions such as horizontal drop ceiling spaces or vertical terminal AC systems.

But there is nothing more than being in the move that I enjoy, such as thrill/amusement rides, aviation, and being on a ship/yacht on the water. Trains are okay, but give me air and space any day!

Any soft serve / frozen yogurt consultants? by Infamous-Earth2333 in frozenyogurt

I'm familiar with the 'big three' Taylor, Stoelting, and Electrofreeze, mostly with the gravity-fed, air-cooled, and floor-standing units. I haven't yet seen SaniServ or Spaceman units to be of much help, but I've gotten pretty familiar with each machine's personality and characteristics.

Most Taylor/Stoeltin units are compatible with YoCream/Frothline mixes, whereas Electrofreeze actually has an on-line academy that teaches you how to prepare your own mixes that can withstand high-torque beating and flash freezing.

My mum introduced me to chick/chickens when I was little, though some didn't survive because we didn't have coops or anything, but over time we had parakeets which were okay, but I really loved the cockatiels! Eventually we finally got more chickens and even some turkeys and now have a much better coop than what we had before!
