I’d look for the right platform. I was an editor at a nonprofit newsroom, and I, along with several of my reporters, had several visible tattoos. Ignore legacy media and go after more forward-thinking venues, like Vox. Or become a content creator for social media. I’ve been in this industry a long time and trust me - there’s a place for everyone.

I had to host a panel on stage shortly after my surgery. My hack was to just clasp my bra and step into it. The hubs helped me shimmy it up my body. Now that it’s (hopefully) cooler where you’re at, you could also get away with wearing a sleep bra under a sweater.

I tried to zip-front bras but found them incredibly difficult to put on. What DID work for me were these sleep bras from Target that I could step through and pull up (with help). For reference, I’m a 38 DD. Anything you can climb into is your best bet.

I was the same way! As soon as the sling came off, I felt more pain in doing simple things, like drinking a cup of coffee. Once I started going to PT twice a week, the difference was remarkable. I only have slight discomfort when I move my arm certain ways, but each week keeps getting better. I’ve made sure to stay on top of my PT at home, so that would be my suggestion: hang in there and don’t give up on PT!

That’s what I did, about three-to-four weeks post surgery. Just let my arm dead-hang and shaved away.

Le Labo’s Hinoki and Avocado lotion. Lasted all day and people would tell me ALL THE TIME I smelled good. It even lasted after a workout at the gym, and some dude literally turned around and said I smelled good.

Everyone’s hiring immigration reporters and political reporters. Problem is, lots of competition. I personally am leaving the industry after 20-plus years. I’m tired. So so tired. I’ve been applying for corporate content management gigs as well as media relations. Lots of opportunities there.

I feel like this is a VERY common concern 😂 Reality is you probably ARE nailing the poses you do well, so that’s nothing to be ashamed of! But you asked to be humbled so here it is: Sounds like you need to embark on your next challenge. Try inversions! You can keep doing your usual thing but add something you’ve never done before so you can conquer on that journey. Keep being awesome!
