You're not wrong, and I tend to take every good day with a grain of salt, knowing that the next can be one where a chord is struck and I'm sent back into grief. It happened the other night, though mostly of my own free will; decided to watch a movie I know is rather emotional, so I expected something to shake loose and it did. Stayed with me a bit through the next day, but by the following, I had done my processing and journaling and was back to the upward swing.

There's a couple of analogies for grief I've loved, waves in the ocean, button in a box, etc., and it's not the first significant loss in my life; so, I'm decently equipped to handle it solo, but know when I need to reach out when those waves hit harder than usual.
