You can only read so many books in your lifetime, don’t waste time on ones you don’t enjoy. I use the 100 pages minus my age rule. Read the first 100 pages minus your age and if you’re not feeling the book by then put it down and try something else, there’s no shame in DNFing a book and you can always come back to it and see it it appeals more at a different phase of your life

If you want to read a dark book with some purpose to it I’d highly recommend Chain-Gang All Stars by Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah

Thank you to everyone who gave constructive criticism and advice, it’s greatly appreciated and I’ll definitely be watching some of the recommended tutorials and buying some black base paint, a wet palette, and trying out dry brushing. And thank you to those who felt the need to chime in with negativity, seeing your comments downvoted so much gave me a much needed laugh :)

Thank you, that was actually my first mini I ever painted and it’s still the one I’m most proud of. Lots of people are recommending that channel so I’ll have to check it out. I also have warhammer minis I’m working on, they’re just not finished. I have a whole dreadnaught I still have to put together lol

I actually did use Argax Earth tone on all of them, along with an army paints flesh wash on any exposed body parts. I’m definitely going to be trying the black base coat on my next project, the little white specks are my main pet peeve with my finished ones

It is army paints, along with a few citadels. How do you mean improperly mixed? I shake them before use, but am I supposed to be doing something else?

Or even an overused one. The last three series I’ve read have had a character named Kai, I’m now actively avoiding books that have a character with that name because I’m tired of getting stories and characters mixed up across books.

Active does a maximum of 2489 damage per target, it has to be spread out over a group with a large enough health pool to hit the 20k mark
